Have you ever noticed how "A Rockhoof and a Hard Place" (S8: E21) is basically the same as "Relics" from Star Trek: TNG?

You know, the episode where Scotty meets the crew of The Next Generation? Both of them deal with a hero from an earlier age finding that their skills are no longer needed in the modern era. Even the heroes in question both have Scottish accents!

And that's a compliment! "Relics" was one of the highest-rated ST: TNG episodes of all time! (Rates #5 by the fans, as I recall.) I wonder if the writers took inspiration from it?
