Say you won the lottery...or that a genie would grant you a horse-y wish....What would be your dream equine? What would you want it to look like? What gender, breed/s, color/s, and what would you use it for?
I honestly have so many dreamies it's super hard to pick. I could browse for hours just drumming up horse after horse. For the sake of actually getting this posted tho i'll go with:
A blue roan Gypsy mare with the LP gene (Appaloosa). I'd be happy with leopard too. (Hell i'd be grateful with any) but I'd use her primarily for dressage or jumping and she would look something like this:
I know a lot of people here and I general have a lot of opinions about bits. I'm in favor of the softer bits but know horses who do better in harsher bits and less hand. Here is my hypothetical question that has probably actually come up for people. If you buy a horse that's used to be riden in a fairly harsh bit (not cruel but harsher than you normally use), do you keep their current bit if they're doing well or would you work on training them to work with a softer bit? Just curious how this usually plays out!
