I recently bought my sweet girl, Brandy, and she has this dark spot on her face. (The bite mark in her face is healing just fine) The previous owners said that they got her like that and that apparently she has had it her whole life. They first told me it was a rub, then they told me it was a birthmark. It's definitely not a rub because the skin is kind of rough, discolored, and her hair is growing back. And I didn't some digging and I don't think horses have birthmarks like that. The farrier said hes never seen anything like it. We are having a vet come out on saturday to check it. It doesn't bother her and she let's you touch it. It doesnt seem to be getting larger or changing texture. One theory we have is that maybe a concho on a bridle had a weird chemical on it or it was just a chemical burn. If anyone has seen anything like this please let me know. So far no one has seen anything like it and I'd like to have some sort of idea before the vet comes.
I'm sponsoring a horse at a rescue. She's in her mid-20s. Although she's not too skinny and has been gaining weight, I'd like to get some more weight on her. Not sure if this would matter but she's a quarter horse. I think her body score would be 4.
Currently, she's on 1 scoop Triple Crown senior, 2 cups Thrive feed, and 1 oz Fastrack. She's just a "pasture ornament." No riding or any other activities. I buy my own Triple Crown senior for her, but I was just trying out Thrive and Fastrack. I know Thrive feed is good, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford it.
I used to read a lot of MLP fanfiction back in 2012-2013 in the heyday. I remember coming across many fanfictions that were incomplete/in progress or on hiatus. I assumed they would eventually be updated, so I would always just move on to the next one.
In recent times, I decided to go back to check and see if any of these actually did end up getting finished, and many of them didn't. They've been dead for several years (or gone from Fimfiction completely in a worst-case scenario).
This brought me to my current thought of, does anyone ever make some kind of unofficial continuation or conclusion to these dead-fictions? If so, is that frowned upon or praised? If any of these exist, I'd like to see. If not, I guess I will forever be left with many an unsatisfied conclusion.
