Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'soukana': 'This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.

Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?

The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though). Oh and BPM is nice to have. Even if you're allergic to using emotes yourself you'll miss a lot of extra context without it.

What some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people. Don't worry there's also a topic so it ain't just "hi!" "hi" awkward silence.

Hi everyone!

This is the thread for discussing anything pertaining to Fanfiction in general. Like your ideas, thoughts, what you're reading, etc. This differs from my Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread, as that focuses primarily on recommendations. Every week these two threads will be posted at alternate times.

Although, if you like, you can talk about fics you don't necessarily recommend but found entertaining.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Thanks to /u/BookHorseBot (many thanks to their creator, /u/BitzLeon), you can now use the aforementioned bot to easily post the name, description, views, rating, tags, and a bunch of other information about a fic hosted on Fimfiction.net. All you need to do is include "{NAME OF STORY}" in your comment (without quotes), and the bot will look up the story and respond to your comment with the info. It makes sharing stories really convenient. You can even lookup multiple stories at once.

So I think that we can all agree that Fluttershy is doing a good thing with her Animal Sanctuary right? A place where animals, carnivores/omnivores and herbivores, can all come together in peace where they do not need to worry about being eaten or harmed by another animal. They get the medical care that they need and all and all they are happy.

However her Sanctuary does have some major problems. . . first and foremost in that it is horrifically undermanned if only Fluttershy and Dr. Fauna work there regularly as we see in the Body/Mind swap episode. Fluttershy really needs to put out feelers for volunteers or actually pay somepony to help out with her list of duties around camp.

They also need to give meat, or fish, to the carnivores rather then vegan cookies. Carnivores cannot survive on VEGAN cookies Fluttershy.

There is also the ever present danger of the Carnivores having enough of these soft, tasty looking, prey so near them at all times. But just like the snake eating that giant grey mouse, I am not sure what there is we can do for this AND make Fluttershy happy at the same time.

I don't know what do the rest of y'all think? Should Fluttershy hire on some more people or ask around for volunteers? Should any major improvements be done for the Animal Sanctuary?

Equestria Girls and the Elements of Harmony

So this is a thought that has been kind of percolating ever since watching the "Forgotten Friendship" special a few months back and I got to realizing something.

The Humane 7 are fully and actually using the Elements of Harmony, or the Geode Equivalents to them, to defeat their enemies.

Rendering the Siren's magic null and void, returning Gloriosa Daisy to her normal senses, destroying the Ancient Memory Stone, blowing up Micro-Chip's pet, and well. . . channel them all together to utilize the element of harmony itself. . . through using Sunset Shimmer as a Focus.

And we KNOW that that is what happens there because Sunset Shimmer gets the exact same Glowing eyes affect that Twilight does when she harnesses the Element of Magic for the Elements of Harmony. Insofar as I am aware that is something that only happens to Twilight and Sunset Shimmer when being used as a focus for this great power.

I don't know I just thought that this was something rather fascinating to notice.

Though it DOES leave me confused on. . . well there are 6 Elements of Harmony: Loyalty, Laughter, Kindness, Generosity, Honesty, and Magic. (Excluding the Pillar Elements of : Bravery, Sorcery, Hope, Strength, Healing, and Beauty) . . . and there are 7 members of the Humane 7. Presuming that the wielders of the Elements correspond with their human equivalents . . . just what is left for Sunset Shimmer? Harmony itself?
