Trainers here: did you go to college? What steps did you take to become a trainer? What path should aspiring trainers take?
I'm a member of 4H, Pony Club, and have experiencing show jumping/working with green horses. I'm going to school now for equine science, but truly just don't mesh with college.
Through my local state and regional horsey groups, I receive quite a few offers of "companion" horses offered. What do horse people think about owners posting older horses up for adoption or companionship after their working time has passed...Just wondering? I'm conflicted....
I have been riding for 21 years, but recently I have been quite anxious about getting off the horse. I am worried that I will get my leg stuck on the back of the saddle. It really does seem silly but it could stop me from getting my dream job. Any tips?
If you do a google image search, almost all of their mouths are bitted, and they're mouths gaping open in expressions of pain, sometimes even with rollkur.
I've was always taken with the antique carousel horses from the landmark machines, but this is something that seemed contradictory to its joyful setting.
