Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'Whoops': 'This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.
Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?
The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though). Oh and BPM is nice to have. Even if you're allergic to using emotes yourself you'll miss a lot of extra context without it.
What some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people. Don't worry there's also a topic so it ain't just "hi!" "hi" awkward silence.

This is a weekly event coinciding (mostly) with NPT; off-topic and meta threads will be staggered so this week's off-topic thread is being submitted now and the meta thread was posted 12 hours ago. Next NPT will be the opposite! We do not ask that all off-topic discussion be kept to this submission; it is merely here as a courtesy and you are free to continue off-topic discussion in the comments of other submissions (off-topic submissions, however, are still a no-no). Make any great purchases? Have fun!
So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (November 29th, 2018) today, you know what that means...
It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!
Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):
Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.
Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.
Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!
PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget.
IMPORTANT NOTE. Thanks to /u/BookHorseBot (many thanks to their creator, /u/BitzLeon), you can now use the aforementioned bot to easily post the name, description, views, rating, tags, and a bunch of other information about a fic hosted on Fimfiction.net. All you need to do is include "{NAME OF STORY}" in your comment (without quotes), and the bot will look up the story and respond to your comment with the info. It makes sharing stories really convenient. You can even lookup multiple stories at once.
Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!
While Season 8 introduced the concept of the school of friendship as a means of tying in the events of the MLP movie with the shows main plot, not many locations from the movie were revisisted in the show.
While both Mount Aris and Seaquestria make appearances in season 8, we haven't seen anymore of the Bone Dry Desert, Klugetown, or the Sky Pirates despite all three appearing on the Cutie Map. How likely do you think it is that the above mentioned locations will appear in season 9?
Taking the comics into account, how likely do you think it is that Capper's home country of Abyssinia might appear? Or any of the other countries the Storm King conquered?
Just click on the link and click on vote! They need a lot of votes!

I lease an abused horse (now on a rescue) 1 day a week. I see her every week. She is on pasture 24 hours a day and is basically a wild horse with the other horses. However, she is very large. Probably an 8 on henneke. She is an easy keeper. Never gets anything besides the pasture and is quite large. Would it be ok for me to use a grazing muzzle for one week at a time? (Take it off when I see her weekly) I don't want to change her life of being free but I do want her to be healthy. Just want to know if I can use this tool for 6 days at a time.
This is the thread for discussing anything pertaining to Fanfiction in general. Like your ideas, thoughts, what you're reading, etc. This differs from my Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread, as that focuses primarily on recommendations. Every week these two threads will be posted at alternate times.
Although, if you like, you can talk about fics you don't necessarily recommend but found entertaining.

So as we've been rewatching season 1 in our unofficial discussion threads a thought has occured to me thanks to a couple of key episodes in this first season. Y'all ever notice that the ponies are almost entirely responsible for the weather and seasons in Equestria?
I don't just mean setting up rainy days or clearing out the sky for farming reasons. But we see them actively "wrapping up" winter and causing the leaves to fall in Fall, amongst other things that nature is supposed to take care of by itself.
It is all done in a nice kind of orderly manner is it not? Sure it is a huge responsibility to place upon the ponies of Equestria but the ponies of Ponyville have certainly adapted to the practice, without using Unicorn magic thanks to traditions, rather easily.
The real question is WHY are/must the ponies control the Environment and seasons like this? Was letting time do it naturally just not orderly enough for them? Or were they forced to take up the task after something or someone, coughs Discord, broke the seasons of Equestria requiring them to all adapt and take care of their ecosystem personally?
I will admit that I love that they have created holidays and festivals around these events instead of just looking at them as a chore. Adds a lot of character to the show and world you know?
So I realized that we will be in the middle of the Hiatus for a while and so a thought occurred to me. Some of the highlights of watching the episodes from Season 8 as they premiered was reacting and discussing the episodes with y'all in real time.
So following up on yesterday's thread is Suited for Success. So go watch via whatever means you can and come back to discuss this early episode below.
And here is a link to episode 13's discussion if y'all want to read it.
Speaking of which over in last week's Meta Discussion thread we talked over and decided to try out a new schedule for these threads. Once a day on week days and two episodes on the Weekends.
Hello my wonderful subjects, it's good to see you as always! /u/Lankygit I do appreciate your help this last week. I just hope the shower drain still works after all that...
On to official business, this is a very special week: Adopt a Subreddit Week! The rules are simple: Pick a pony subreddit you enjoy and each day this week post content both to that sub and to the main sub here, crossposting the two. Content new to the adopted sub is preferred, but sometimes that isn't possible so do your best.
Each person should ideally adopt a single subreddit. It's preferable to not have too many people adopt the same sub but if two people really want the same one then it's A-OK with me.
No special tag this week, just list what sub you're cross-posting to in the link's title. And as always have a safe and fun Hiatus!
Current list of adoptees:
/u/SnickyMcNibits has /r/MylittleAnthro
No this still isn't official.
There are always things about the show I want to talk about, but I'd rather not always dedicate an entire full blown thread to it or it's never the right time to mention because no one would care. Maybe it's a thought that could be answered quickly enough to end discussion or something insignificant and stupid brewing in the back of your head for awhile! Anything you want to throw out to r/mylittlepony and say your piece!
Is there anything you've wanted to mention lately but never got around to it? Anything you want to speak up about for a bit? Any pony topic at all?
Any horsey chefs on this subject?
I've got a senior gelding with Cushing's who takes daily meditation. I've been hiding the pills in chewy horse treats to make sure he gets the full dose. I would like to make my own to save some money and reduce disposable packaging. Crunchy treats won't work, and I would prefer low or no sugar as he is on restricted sugar intake (and his best friend can't have any at all and I like to share treats sometimes)
Thanks in advance for your yummy recipes!
Good news everyone! The prototype thread went over so well that I decided to make this a weekly, or biweekly, thing so with that said.
So I've been inspired these past few weeks to try out something new. Just as we have a dedicated Fanfiction Thread, Recommendation thread, Miscellaneous Thread, and other such threads I figured that something was missing and decided to see how popular this idea is.
So we have seen a LOT of fanart tossed around on this thread over the past near decade and though some have been lost to the sands of times others seem to stick in our minds and memories.
So With that said are there any pieces of Fanart that you personally love and appreciate? Why is that?Is it how the colors of the piece meld together to make the image so beautiful? Feel free to link the fanart you are discussing about in your comments below so as to give the example of what you are talking about.

Sorry for not posting this last week. It completely slipped past my mind.
Hi there! It's Thursday again and that means another chance to talk about what's been happening around here and how you feel about it!
Same as every other time, feel free to discuss whatever it is you'd like regarding our little subreddit good or bad. If you're unhappy we'll try our best to fix whatever problem you're having!
If you want to talk about the MLP fandom in general, that's fine too!
But some people may not want to talk about comics or anything else that hasn't happened yet, so you should be nice and hide those conversations from those people by using the spoiler tag.
If you don't know how it's as easy as making an emote:
[It has ponies!](/spoiler)
Becomes: It has ponies!
And if you're not wanting to discuss the subreddit or community specifically you can also check out the weekly off-topic thread that will be up at noon Pacific time!!!!
