Hey everyone, does anyone have suggestions for a good barn to take lessons at near Lexington? I'm trying to find somewhere within about 30 minutes of Masterson Station. I've emailed a few places, but haven't gotten a response. I'm looking to work on jumping and maybe try to get into a little bit of eventing, as well as get back into showing.
We have the opportunity to buy the pony our daughter has been riding for a year. Her 8th birthday is next month. Does anyone have cute ideas of how to surprise her with this ridiculousness? Our trainer is willing to bring the pony to our house for her "party", and we could surprise her then, but I wonder if it would be better to have the reveal more privately at the barn where she can actually ride and enjoy without having to share on her first day with her own pony. Then possibly do some pony rides a few days later at home where she can proudly show her closest friends and let them play pony? Any thoughts? Thanks! Edit: could I write the word "pony" more? Pony. Pony. Pony. There, now my post matches my pony-occupied mind.
