Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'Oh boy I wonder what silliness happened this week!': This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.
Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?
The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though. Oh and BPM is considered essential for optimum Plounging. (we don't mind the occasional blank post over there)
Up some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people.

So am looking at a potential horse however the owner has disclosed the horse has a week left stifle and may always have a hitch in her stride.
Should I keep searching or still go out and see the horse for myself?
This is a weekly event coinciding (mostly) with NPT; off-topic and meta threads will be staggered so this week's off-topic thread is being submitted now and the meta thread was posted 12 hours ago. Next NPT will be the opposite! We do not ask that all off-topic discussion be kept to this submission; it is merely here as a courtesy and you are free to continue off-topic discussion in the comments of other submissions (off-topic submissions, however, are still a no-no).
Which do you think is the most historically interesting war? Alternatively, which fictional war do you find most entertaining? Have fun!
So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (February 9th, 2017) today, you know what that means...
It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!
And we're in week 15 of the Season 6 to Season 7 hiatus.
However, the next season's airing date has been anounced!
Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):
Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.
Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.
Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!
PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget. Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!
Hey everyone. I lost my first and only horse on Monday after 12 years. He was approximately 26 although that's just a rough estimate. We didn't know anything about his past when we got him except that he was around 13.
He was fine at dinner (ate all his grain and hay) and at breakfast he was laying dead in his stall. We did not perform a necropsy so I will never know exactly what happened. I spoke with my vet who said with an old horse it was most likely colic and even though its not common for colic to kill that quickly it certainly can but again without necropsy there's no way to know for sure.
The strange thing is that there were no signs of any struggle. The sawdust wasn't flattened like he was rolling, there was no dried sweat, no nasal discharge, no tear staining, no trauma, unlikely it was toxin exposure cause the other horse is fine and lives in the exact same environment. He had pooped a couple times during the night. No problem with the heated bucket wiring or anything. He did drink almost all of his water that night but really it didn't even look like he fell. He was in the middle of the stall where he would lay down to sleep sometimes and it really looked like he just calmly laid down and died. I did consider aortic rupture but this usually happens during elevated heart rate and he was just chilling in his stall (it was cold and rainy so they were shut in that night).
I know there will not be any answers but I just wondered if anyone here had ever had a similar experience and wanted to share what happened and what they thought.
tl;dr My horse died suddenly and unexpectedly overnight. Would like to hear from others with similar experience.
Hello once again my subjects. Before we begin I'd like to give a big congratulations to /u/sparroew for winning the 2017 French Maid contest. The addition of the exhaust pipes is what really sold it.
On to the matter at hand - Valentines Day is almost upon is! Yes love is in the air and the shippers are in a rabid frenzy (as per usual). But I'm getting bored of the usual fair - it's always Rarity x Applejack, or Lyra x Bon Bon, or Rainbow Dash x The Entire Western Seaboard. It's time to ship something new, something fresh!
I mean why not pair Lyra with Octavia for once? Look how cute they are together! or maybe Maud and Tree Hugger! Or if you're feeling particularly crazy maybe you could even ship straight!
This week post or repost your favorite unusual couples with the tag [Alternative Ship], and as always have a safe and fun Hiatus!
Hello and welcome to another episode idea thread, where you share your ideas for specific episodes, plotlines, and arcs you've come up with that you think would be cool to see the show actually do, in Season 7 or beyond! Be it slice of life, map episode, two-parter, either premiere or finale, or something new the show's never tried before, anything!
They should be episodes that could reasonably happen. It should be able to be contained in 22 minutes (or 22 x number of parts, if you're doing a multi-parter), and keep it something acceptable for, say, a TV-Y7 rating (hey, it could happen.). Keep in mind both Avatar: The Last Airbender and Gravity Falls were Y7, so you've got a bit of freedom here.
Please do try to be as creative as possible, and be at least a little specific and detailed. Yes, we all want a Celestia episode, an episode about AJ's parents, an episode where Scootaloo flies/finds out she can't fly, etc, but just naming those out like buzzwords isn't gonna get us anywhere. If you've got a specific idea for what you want to see happen or what you've thought up with any of these episode types, then of course by all means.
Basically, this is a place to share your "dream episodes", or possible episode plots you've thought up and may want to share. Could serve as a sort of practice ground for you writers out there too.
Also, be sure to check out the weekly Season 7 General Discussion thread, for talking about your more general hopes, predictions, or anything at all that pertains to the upcoming season.
NEXT WEEK'S THREAD
Currently, the new FiM tabletop game is scheduled to release on March 15, so I wanted to gauge interest in a weekly campaign post on this subreddit for those who want to participate in the game.
While I know that there are already a bevy of unofficial MLP tabletop games out there, having an official game does mark a new milestone and would likely draw new interest. With sites such as Roll20, getting a group of people online for a campaign is incredibly simple to do, especially for those of us that live in more rural areas and don't have access to a group of nearby bronies interested in a tabletop campaign. With the added fact that Tales of Equestria has a simple game structure, making it easy for newcomers who have no prior experience with tabletop RPGs to join in, there would likely be an audience for those willing to try the genre out.
The idea is to have a weekly post inviting those interested when the campaign starts, similar to the BerryTube posts. Depending on the amount of interested parties, the number of games ongoing could be tweaked, and the title post could include an alert if a party is requesting additional players or if a campaign has finished and a new one is about to start.
Doc's here: http://ift.tt/2lnls51
I did the creative writing while someone else did the mechanics and coding and told me what they needed written.
The unique unit was an archer unit that sacrificed ranged stopping power for additional melee stopping power and the ability to shoot over hills and stuff. Also, kills granted culture, I think. The unique buildings were things that could be built using like seven different luxury resources to provide lots of culture and/or tourism. It was pretty overpowered.
But yeah, while I received an in-progress build, it didn't really get done and I didn't quite write everything needed. But when I found the doc recently... man, I liked some of this stuff:
"Why, if it isn't my dearest friend! How goes your trials and tribulations in the world of political intrigue? I've just been making hats."
"Greetings! I have a surplus of fancy things, and was looking to see if you had a similar surplus of other, different fancy things. Let us trade, and the world will be all the fancier for it!"
"I should have known your experience would trump mine. You've been in a war with good taste ever since you adopted that outfit. ...Pah. Do what you will."
If it can't go in a mod, at least it can go here. Enjoy what's worth enjoying!
Hi there! It's Thursday again and that means another chance to talk about what's been happening around here and how you feel about it!
Same as every other time, feel free to discuss whatever it is you'd like regarding our little subreddit good or bad. If you're unhappy we'll try our best to fix whatever problem you're having!
If you want to talk about the MLP fandom in general, that's fine too!
But some people may not want to talk about comics or anything else that hasn't happened yet, so you should be nice and hide those conversations from those people by using the spoiler tag.
If you don't know how it's as easy as making an emote:
[It has ponies!](/spoiler)
Becomes: It has ponies!
And if you're not wanting to discuss the subreddit or community specifically you can also check out the weekly off-topic thread that will be up at noon Pacific time!!!!
