She was the only one of the Mane 6 who in show before finale (not Equestria girls or comics not that I recall anything form there) was interested in romance. Blueblood, Tenderhoof, and slightly Capper in the movie. She also had admirers in Spike and plenty of stallions which made her in audiences eyes seem likely to find someone too. So I think she should have be one at least to find a stallion. It's great she had the career she wanted but people don't have to choose between career and romance if they want both. Although it makes perfect sense to me that she didn't have children.
But since I got Pinkie/Cheese and Fluttercord was pretty strong even if not certain I am pretty happy. I am just sad for Rarity's sake. If there was some episode where she established she had changed and didn't want it maybe it would have been better (like if she met Blublood again planning some event and he wasn't that bad anymore but she was over it, and we would have known additionally the same time why he was a prince). But now it just kind of dropped unceremoniously after she suffered in love for comedy.
In any case my head canon is that she ended up with Soaring. Famous people are her type and he seems nice and very much against drama which would balance Rarity.

So it only recently dawned on me that this spring will be the first time in five years that we won't have a new season premiere to look forward to and ease us into yet another wonderful chapter in the story of Equestria, and this year marks the first time in an entire decade where there won't be anymore episodes for Friendship is Magic. It's been. So. Damn. Long. My Little Pony had just been a constant for me, one of the few consistent things to look forward to in a rapidly changing life and environment. It always gave me something to look forward to, new friendly faces to meet and love just like the many others before. Silly adventures and surprisingly well told stories. A wholesome break from a rather disappointing and bleak world around me. This show also helped me meet my best friend years ago, and helped my sister and I bond and become so close back when she got me into it.
I still haven't seen the season 9 finale, I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it. I feel compelled to watch it and see what happens, but...I'm terrified to say goodbye. How can I? How can I say goodbye to these dear friends whom I've known for almost half my life now? I know they have plans to continue the franchise, yet this just feels like the end of an era. They struck gold with Friendship is Magic, something I'm not sure they can do again or even improve upon.
Just wanted to vent my mind on these things, and would love to know if any of you feel the same. Or maybe you're thinking more positively about it than I. Either way, feel free to speak your mind and I'll happily listen!

There are always things about the show I want to talk about, but I'd rather not always dedicate an entire full blown thread to it or it's never the right time to mention because no one would care. Maybe it's a thought that could be answered quickly enough to end discussion or something insignificant and stupid brewing in the back of your head for awhile! Anything you want to throw out to r/mylittlepony and say your piece!
