The other day a friend of my was reading the mlp comic with Prince Blueblood and we talk about how different Blueblood was in it from the gala. I said was just an act due to him being on a diplomat mission. He said what if what he was doing at the gala was act for Spike. This got me thinking about how much it the idea made sense, we seen Blueblood as a background pony after the gala and the most famous scene of which was him standing by Rarity at the airship show. I thought it was them just being civil for the event but what if it wasn't.
Twilight and Spike was around Celestia a lot growing, Blueblood is around the same age as Twilight and as far as we know he and Cadence was Celestia only family at the time. So it would make sense that Twilight and Spike would know him growing up. And as we saw in "Amending Fences" Spike was friendlier with Twilight old friends then she was. So what if after finding out that Rarity had a crush on his old friend Blueblood he send a latter to him asking him to be jerk to her so she would get over her crush on him?

Alright. I want a horse. Yeah yeah, you've heard it before.
I also have never owned one- You've heard this too.
BUT I am around horses all day and work at an equine veterinarian so I know the cost TRUUUUST ME. Having to take some payments people walk out looking like they got shot in the foot😂 (I'm a Receptionist and weekly stall picker, I ask everyday to pick stalls 😌) I have the money to care for the horse, this is not the issue..... I've just never owned/leased one.
Riding level- Green rider.
I can function on a horse but I don't think this is good enough 👌
So. How the hell do I improve myself and make myself into a suitable future horse owner before I even think of leasing or buying?
I have all the resources and connections at my fingertips.
Volunteering(Clients would be happy to have me volunteer), experienced people around me every day, a way to work of vet bills if I ever needed to which they would let me do (Wonderful place to work👍) If some huge emergency happened (I would have money stashed away before even considering making a purchase just thinking worst case scenario) and other things I'm to lazy to list.
So I have my "BE AROUND HORSE PEOPLE" covered.
The potential horse I want someday would be preferably an older(ish) rescue horse with a calm demeanor that has patience and can take my fumbling bullcrap while loving me unconditionally.
(Client and good friend buys and sells reputable horses from good homes. If I asked her she could find me close to what I was looking for with her connections. Which is a good horse 😌) BUT THATS A LONG WAYS OFF-
So I guess my first step would be, volunteer with the therapy horses. Calm demeanor and put up with rowdy children.
Second, bum rides with friends and nag the people at work to teach me their ways, includes picking/mucking stalls(Can I just tell you horses are much cleaner than dogs and cats?! Believe it or not! cringes)
Third, Prices of things needed. Already have list started.
But need list of things a noob wouldn't think of.
Tack will wait for when horse is purchased/leased.
Four, lessons- Easy/general lessons. Need to be careful due to back. My doctor has already verified that it is okay and would be good for me to ride horses as long as I wasn't doing anything insane. (Plan below, tell me what you think. I need advice)
Side note- educating myself on types of bits and horse tack/equipment.
Anything you want to add please add.
Please help. 😂
Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'Oh right that subreddit exists. Wonder how they're doing': This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.
Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?
The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though. Oh and BPM is considered essential for optimum Plounging. (we don't mind the occasional blank post over there)
Up some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people.
...Oh and also, Movie Night happening within the hour!

Hello! The old post was archived, so here we are, reposting it.
This isn't a reminder or anything, we just need a non-archived thread to link to in the sidebar so that people can comment on our policies if they want!
1. Be respectful. Try not to alienate anyone specifically, nor groups of people. Avoid being a jerk, and give others the benefit of the doubt when commenting, tone is tough to convey via text. Ask yourself, what would Fluttershy do?
2. Reddit is a content aggregator. For submissions, upvote things you like, and downvote things you don't. This ensures the best content gets pushed to the front page. Never downvoting worked great when we had less than 5,000 members, but times have changed. For comments, avoid downvoting because you disagree with someone. Downvote comments if they either attack someone, or are not following the guidelines outlined here (namely rule 1).
3. It's fine to use out-of-sub emotes, but keep in mind that the majority of browsers do not have the scripts required because they do not know, or do not want to install them. As such, avoid "blank posting", or posting an out-of-sub emote without any other meaningful content (words or an in-sub emote) in the comment as well. If you don't know what an out-of-sub emote is, disregard this rule. If you want more info, see this page.
4. Before submitting something, make sure it hasn't been posted in the last 21 days by messaging /u/Searchbar_Trixie with a link to the proposed submission. Reposts more recent than 21 days will be removed.
5. When in doubt about if your submission is allowed, post it to the MLPLounge. Personal stories and anecdotes thrive there, and get a lot more attention. Additionally, If your post seems a little mature or borderline NSFW, post it to /r/MLPmature or other more appropriate subreddits. If the post isn't against the rules, feel free to post it in both. Exercise judgement here.
6. If possible, link directly to the source (deviantart, etc) when submitting posts. The artist will appreciate the credit. For deviantart, post using the "post to reddit" button, located on the right column of the deviantArt page, or simply copy the deviantART URL from your browser. The supplied fav.me links work, but are not compatible with RES; as such, they are not recommended. Also, please avoid hotlinking.
7. Avoid asking for upvotes, or the phrases "This will probably get downvoted, but..." and "This will probably get lost in the submissions of the new episode...", or any other variation. Let your post speak for itself.
8. Please use the report button if you believe a post is not appropriate for /r/mylittlepony. This lets the mods know very clearly that you would like someone to verify the post is appropriate. If a comment or post links something that's extremely NSFW, notify the moderators via modmail immediately. For comments, report when someone is being attacked personally, or NSFW links are being posted. Report blank posts if they are derailing threads, or being disruptive.
9. When discussing new episodes, please use spoiler tags until 48 hours after the episode has aired. See how here. Additionally, please avoid including the spoiler directly in the title, and remember that all content related to upcoming material must be tagged as well.
10. Encourage new members to read the sidebar and guidelines, and guide them in the right direction if they make a mistake. Ensure you do so in a respectful and kind way.
11. Avoid posting screenshots of the subreddit itself, including 'combo' posts, comments, or number of subscribers. If you do wish to link comments, link them directly. To showcase the best posts and threads of the subreddit, post to /r/bestofmlp.
12. Hostile arguments relating to any subject not concerned with MLP may be removed in their entirety. Such topics include but are not limited to politics, religion, gender wars, and racism. This subreddit remains a friendly place first and foremost, and people wishing to argue about irrelevant topics are encouraged to take their comments elsewhere.
13. Please do not respond to trolls; simply report them or modmail us. If we find a troll and remove it from the subreddit, we will also be removing any replies to it by normal users in order to make sure it stops there. Normal users will not be penalized for having their replies removed in this way.
14. Try not to flood the new queue with content. If you have a lot of submissions you would like to post at once, consider either spreading them out over a longer period of time or posting a self-post with several links so as to not push other new submissions down the new queue where their visibility declines.
Hi all,
Wanted to see if anyone has any idea what could be going on with my mare. She's a 19yo Saddlebred mix (bought her at an auction 9 years ago). She's been a veryyy easy keeper for years, but recently (within the last year) tested positive for Lyme Disease. Following that diagnosis along with some mild arthritis, our vet has had her on daily bute for 8+ months.
Within the last two months or so, I've noticed her weight visibly decreasing, along with some hair loss. The hair loss almost looks like a rain rot type problem. If she wasn't losing weight, I'd just assume it was rain rot and deal with it. However, the weight loss is what is concerning for me.
She eats normally, and gets plenty of food. She is 24/7 out, but has a shed and can go into the barn whenever she'd like. She pastures with a 12yo gelding.
Has anyone had experience with something like this happening? Weight loss and patchy hair loss? Has anyone kept their horse on an extended bute regimen, and could that be influencing the weight/hair loss?
tl;dr: 19yo Saddlebred mare losing weight and hair, is on daily bute for arthritis/lyme. What gives?
I'm a noob when it comes to actually owning a horse but would like to know more about horse ownership.
Figured I would dive in head first to asking questions 👌
I work at an Equine Vet Clinic so I know the prices of meds and what not, exams, vaccinations, coggins, health papers, colic treatment and how expensive horse care can be so no warnings needed there.
I've got connections in high places for good deals on treatment if ever needed! 👍
Pretty obvious but I would very much like to consider adopting a horse.
A rather lazy trail riding horse would be alright for me. Breed-Meh. I like horses, it doesn't matter. 👌
This horse would be kept at a pasture barn close to my house that has people living there 'round the clock that also provide care since I don't have land quite yet but want my own horse to ride since I realized that lessons are literally the same damn price and I really just want a horse for pleasure riding.
What I want to know is what advice do you have for someone like me regarding horse ownership.
Also. I know to avoid blister beetles like the plague.
So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (February 2nd, 2017) today, you know what that means...
It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!
And we're in week 14 of the Season 6 to Season 7 hiatus.
Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):
Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.
Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.
Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!
PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget. Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!
I mean, I am in your time, too. I still am, is what I'm saying.
There's going to be an accident in the Starswirl the Bearded wing in the Canterlot library involving a whole lot of time spells. So... I'm here. Sort of. It's a little weird, but while I figure out how to fix this, I thought I'd answer your questions while I can. I know a lot of stuff!
Again, though, a lot of weird time spells were involved here, so this is going to be a little messed up. I'm going to be answering your questions before you ask them. So, make sure to wait until you see the answer you were hoping for before submitting your question, lest the timestream be destroyed and the mantis-ponies return.
I think something like this might have happened before, so be sure to look that up if you're still confused. I'm not sure what timeline that's from, but I saw it as I hurtled through the temporal oceans, so there you go.
Hi there! It's Thursday again and that means another chance to talk about what's been happening around here and how you feel about it!
Same as every other time, feel free to discuss whatever it is you'd like regarding our little subreddit good or bad. If you're unhappy we'll try our best to fix whatever problem you're having!
If you want to talk about the MLP fandom in general, that's fine too!
But some people may not want to talk about comics or anything else that hasn't happened yet, so you should be nice and hide those conversations from those people by using the spoiler tag.
If you don't know how it's as easy as making an emote:
[It has ponies!](/spoiler)
Becomes: It has ponies!
And if you're not wanting to discuss the subreddit or community specifically you can also check out the weekly off-topic thread here!!!
