Holy moley. What a day.
I grew up riding horses since I was a wee bub, but when I moved out of home at 18, and throughout my 20s, I was mostly pretty broke/ busy and horses fell by the wayside.
Horse riding was always a really great way to connect with my mum and this whole big community that I felt apart of. A friend in that community passed away recently and at the funeral I felt kind of homesick for it all. And I guess that's when my troubles started, coz I started looking in the classifieds for horses again.
Today I woke up and saw my kryptonite: a cute little appaloosa mare. Mum and I drove 5 hours round trip to see her, and she was just so cute. She's babyish and green but she's sweet natured and quiet, and I just put down a deposit on her.
I guess I'm back in the game! Ha!
