Let me start off by saying I've never registered a horse before. I bought a 3 year old from an auction and was told she is able to be registered with APHA (I know sire & dam). I contacted the stallion owner to have them fill out a breeders certificate but will I need anything from the dam's owner? Does the dams DNA need to be on file or is that just for the sire?
Thanks!
How exactly do you go about treating it? Does the vet prescribe antibiotics?
Hi, I've got a new 2003 AQHA gelding and I'm interested in his lines. He's got a lot of "Skip" names. He's by Skips Royal Print out of Skips Paychick by Skip Otoe Charge. He was bred in Missouri. His pedigree is here on allbreed pedigree query: https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/unskip+me2
Thanks.
All my riding stuff is hideously brightly coloured and shop bought things are just far too tasteful. My great aunt gave me a sewing machine and I've been using it to make dog coats but had the bright idea I could make myself some jazzy saddlepads!
I also ride endurance so they need to be halfway decent materials and hold up to abuse. I've had a look on google, both into sewing and into saddlepad materials, consensus definitely seems to be that natural fibres are the best and wool is best of all. Clearly i'm not about to sew myself a sheepskin pad but I can get wool felt in thicknesses of 1-3mm fairly easily. I ride english so need a thin pad; I've never seen a wool felt english pad before, only thick western ones, does anyone know if the properties of wool felt (shock absorption, wicking etc) still have any effect on a thicker pad?
Last thing is whether to have 2 layers of wool inside, 1 layer, wool next to the horse or a cotton lining, just sew around edge and spine or quilt for stability.
as an afterthought... whats the chance a home machine is going to sew through a few mm of felt?
Help me live my fancy saddlepad dreams!
I'm not into the show as much as i use to and i would like to sell my lot of 43 My little pony comics. It's a mixture of hot topic variants to con exclusive variants and just looking to get some extra cash for stuff i don't really use anymore.
