Hi everyone!
I've been a fan of MLP:FIM for years, almost since it first started to gain a fandom outside its target demographic. I've been reading fanfics, watching episode analyses, listening to fan-made songs, and looking at fan art since season 2 aired. But it's only recently that I've actually tried to go beyond simply watching and listening and actually get "into the Community" so to speak.
And I know what you're thinking: "wow, you took your sweet time. The show is only a few months from ending!" And yes, I know, my timing could have been better. But truthfully, the realization that the show is nearing its conclusion only makes me want to get involved in the fandom more because even though the show may end, I'm not going to stop loving it. And while the show caught my attention, it's the fandom that I love the most.
You people are, without a doubt, some of the most amazing, friendly, welcoming, creative and inspiring people on the internet. And I know that, while the show may end, the Fandom will not. You've produced so much, done so much, and been around for so long that I see the MLP community the same way I see the Harry Potter or Star Wars Community, as something that will never die, something that will continue to exist in some form for many years to come.
All that being said, do any of you have any tips or advice for someone just getting into the community?
Thanks so much!
