I was thinking about how much the world seems to have changed in the past decade. When Friendship is Magic graced televisions worldwide almost ten years ago, for some reason I think it came at just the right time. It gained such a massive following through the internet at the time, and flourished for a good few years. But nowadays the internet is almost unrecognizable different, with all the different modern topics and mainstream places to be. I have no clue how to determine or predict these things, and I wanted to know what y'all's thoughts were on this matter. Would the show have gained a similar following to what it did if it was released today? Perhaps greater? Worse?

Hi guys! At the beginning of this month I started leasing a beautiful 20 year old horse. He's in good shape for his age, and his owner has had him for 9 years. He used to be a competitive jumper, and she has taught kids' lessons on him too.
As a leaser, I am responsible for 3 days a week. I am responsible for mucking out his stall, paddock, refilling stall water, exercising him, and assembling his grain with his medication.
The barn he's boarded at only takes care of hay, grain without medication, and paddock water.
I have always loved horses and I'm thrilled to be able to get back into this world again. I used to ride as a kid/teen & am now re-learning everything and I am a complete novice.
Here's the catch - I'm nervous that perhaps his owner is cutting corners. 😬
I realize I'm COMPLETELY new, but I have seen a few patterns happening and I'm not sure how to proceed. Any information or opinions would be much appreciated, please be kind! 💗
My concerns:
I lease him 3 days a week, on non-consecutive days. I strongly believe she isn't visiting the barn on some of her days. (Extremely low water, extra messy stall, medication not being moved in tack room, etc all indicate she wasn't there)
a week into leasing, he began turning his head to bite & his back end to kick when putting his blanket or saddle pad on. He did this to both me & his owner at separate times. He didn't seem to be in pain while being brushed or touched though.
the vet came to look at him, couldn't see any obvious issues and put him on bute.
the behaviour with the blanket stopped, and I rode him on Monday with her approval. Everything was fine.
she had a few back-to-back days, and I don't think the medication continued (as I don't believe she's going to the barn on her days). It is now Thursday, and the behaviour started again today when I tried to put his saddle pad on.
she has said he's super predictable and he was, UNTIL the issues with the blanket started. He was calm while doing the bute treatment, but today was extremely spooky and wired again.
I have now leased him for a month & ridden once during that time. He is SUCH a sweetheart, very social and affectionate. He's totally fine until the blanket comes out, and he gets visibly aggressive/upset. Even the saddle pad (with no saddle) just sitting on his back today continued to upset him once it was on.
I'm at a bit of a loss of how to proceed. Should she be at the barn every one of her days to be doing his stall, water, and exercise? I'm not sure what's normal, what's okay, or what should/shouldn't be happening.
Any input would be much appreciated!
TLDR: I'm a new leaser & there is some weird shit happening. Help.
So, my boy is seven. He's an Australian brumby and practically golden, he was bought as a therapy horse for me during a very dark time and dear God does he have a personality. He's the only horse I feel one hundred percent safe with and I worship him - his one downfall.. He's a pain to float. Previously, he's been at least a four hour job, which was fine during days I didn't have a time limit.
I don't own a float or a towable car, so hiring out has become my only option, which usually gives a pretty steep time limit before you're spewing dollar bills out your butt. I recently even hired a transport company, who, after trying until it was too dark to see, charged me a hefty fee and left him where he was at and I was right back where I started with a new hole in my pocket.
Problem is, he doesn't appear frightened or frustrated with the float, he rears every now and again, but it honestly seems like he just doesn't want to, and knows if he waits long enough, he won't have to.
I've arranged to have him floated this coming Monday, which is already a base price of just under four hundred dollars (that I've had to borrow), and I've come to learn they charge a 100/per hour fee for loading! I simply cannot afford for my boy to give me the four hour run around. I need desperate help to float this guy!
A bit of background is that he's always been a difficult floater, right back when I got him and three. And every time I've worked on his habits, someone's come and done buggered him up and rewound all the hard work. A few years ago, an ex friend of mine floated him and a huge QH mare, and then negligently went to work five hours at her job, leaving them crammed in that small space before dropping them off at my house, which, as I pulled open the front door, exposed that they had both collapsed and were on the verge of, what looked to a little seventeen year old me, death.
It was very traumatic and understandably, afterwards he was difficult to float. However, he's been moved countless times since then, all ranging around the four hour to load mark, and if I have the time, I've spent a good amount of work float training him before returning the hire, but any amount of time between training and desensitizing puts him right back where we started.
He's about three and a half hours away from me, and I desperately want him close, but I fear that if I can't float him this time, I simply will not be able to afford to attempt again for another disappointing result. I love this horse, even now, he's one of the few things that immediately relieves my anxiety and I miss him so much. Please, any advice is deeply appreciated.
I have found someone that has amazing looking 30 inch plushies (BlackWaterPlush if curious) and they would make me a custom pony plush for 360, really good price I hear. But people who have those plushes, are they worth the investment? Should I get the plush or not, help me decide.
In a recent livestream of Tara's she answered a question of whether Twilight would be in G5. She replied with no, but possibly other future projects.

Now that we are retired, we can finally have the opportunity to finally start researching magic again. We can expand the Starswirl the Bearded wing. My- it's been so long! There are scrolls to recopy, translate, bind, and refurbish. Walls and images to reink. Logs and records to... erm- ...uh- actually? That sounds like a lot of tedious work. Hmmm- Since we're all here perhaps I can torture you ponies all night long! I know you breeeezed through the last Ogres and Oubliettes campaign with Discord. There will be no mercy this time around! And so, the Edgewall Inn awaits your arrival dear ponies! Grab some hearty mead, enjoy the band playing in the back, and step up to the plate- if you dare. Uh... I'm a Half-Elf jack of all trades. 1 level in rogue, 1 in Knowledge Domain cleric, 3 in bard with the right specializations and background- aaand I have allll the skilllls. Allll the tools. Allll the banjo playing in three languages. Battlemaster Fighter, specialization as a crossbow sharpshooter. A magic crossbow should let me crank out oodles of ranged damage every round. Not gonna gamble on an iffy build- I'll tell you that. I'm a Goodberry-casting, Life domain cleric moving into Lore College Bard. All my spells are Goodberry and can heal 40HP per casting level at level 1. Eat my berries, please. They're good berries. Two levels of Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer. The rest is Bard with the Lucky feat, maxed out in Persuasion. The plan is simple- make friends. Make friends with dragons. Dragons with piles of gold, and can torch a city without batting an eye. Big, rideable, fiesty dragons that I'm related in blood with. Druid of the Moon Circle at level 2. I can become an Air Elemental at level 10. Longstrider is a spell that makes me go fast, Spike Growth makes a field of thorny vines. Grapple the enemy, drag them through the vines for 20d4 damage a turn if you win the grapple check. Two levels of rogue let you dash some more, Brawny feat lets me pull medium creatures around faster. I'm the claw machine from hell. Three levels of Warlock. The Aspect of the Moon class feature lets you never need to sleep. Go into Sorcerer from there on out. Your unused Warlock spell slots can be converted into sorcery points, which can be used to amplify your normal spells. You can get two points every day until one day you just... nuke someone before using any of your real spells. Excellent! As you introduce yourselves the evening dies down, you start to notice to notice more patrons in the tavern turn their heads. Standing up. Crowding the windows. You can't see what's outside, but you hear faint shrieks over the murmuring of the patrons. Unnatural shrieks. Panicking voices shout from the entrance. The road is crowded. You witness a mixture of denizens fleeing, stumbling drunks, and guards constantly looking over their shoulder as you head out the door. The night is far from over, my little ponies. Now step outside!
