This is a ship that you really like but it doesn't have a huge following like Flashlight or SoarinDash.
For example, my favorite is SoarinApple (Soarin x Applejack). I really like it because it has a sort of star-crossed lovers appeal, and I'm a sucker for those romances. It's not as popular as SoarinDash or AppleDash but I still find it really cute.
Some (hopefully organized) shower thoughts on the economy of Equestria. I may be way off base on some of these, as I don't have time to rewatch the whole series and take notes on the depiction of economic activity in each scene where it happens.
Most ponies are shown living a comfortable life without major money troubles. There are significantly wealthy businessponies and the Princesses, but the floor of economic status in Equestria is significantly higher than in the human world. Although some spots of Dickensian poverty are shown, they're all as background gags for in-universe stories or as an easily-solved friendship problem that somehow required members of the M6 to show up to solve it.
Since we do not see ponies complaining about pay often nor asking for raises, we could assume that they are being paid something close to the full value of their labor. However, it may be the influence of their cutie marks that is the primary reason why the wage floor is so high. A pony's CM guides them to the forms of work they are most fit for, so the Equestrian economy is (from the perspective of labor) extraordinarily efficient compared to human economics. Underemployment is very rare because ponies have a literal stamp that reminds them where they can make full use of their talent. Also because of CMs signaling out the ideal career paths, there a far higher percentage of self-employed ponies and family businesses in Equestria than in humanity.
Ponies sorting themselves into fitting employment at a far higher rate than humans also brings them back to just price wages. Instead of being paid for what the employers can get away with because humans have a tendency to try work in all kind of jobs they are fundamentally unfit for (but unfit in ways not detectable by interviews and all that garbage), ponies pick jobs where they can contribute their full value from the start of their careers. Instead of carpenter ponies commanding a higher wage than farmhand ponies (for example), they all earn roughly the same daily wages, so there is a reasonable expectation on the income and expenses of most ponies you'd meet (which flattens out pricing because there are fewer price tiers that are reasonable to reach for).
For business owners, there are strong incentives to keep headcount down and do as much as work as possible with existing employees because hiring new ponies often ends up being closer to a (temporary) profit-sharing arrangement than a quick expense to get through the busy season. The Cakes keep Pinkie around as a part-timer because Pinkies' party business often ends up involving a large order of cake; Rarity has Coco and Sassy Saddles to manage her Manehattan and Canterlot branches (which probably move more inventory from foot traffic than the Carousel Boutique, even if Rarity's location leads in shipped orders) (speaking of them, are Sassy & Coco primarily salesmares and seamstresses and the dresses are all "Designed by Rarity in Ponyville" or is it more so that Rarity sets design agenda and franchises out her name but Coco & Sassy design their own dresses fit to their respective markets?). The low headcounts of most businesses prevent labor from being as commodified as in a post-industrial world and also reduce the incentives to unionize (but increase the incentives to form guilds).
Equestria has a much higher percentage of government-employed ponies than the English-speaking world has government-employed humans. Not only are the royal guards, teachers, servants & executive assistants to the princesses, mayors & sheriffs, and the military paid from government funds, but so are the weather teams of pegasi, animal sanctuaries, and other similar duties. Because pegasi are uniquely adept at weather manipulation and flying units of the military require a much larger standing army than ground or magical units, well over half of the cloud-based pegasi receive at salary from the government (even if it's part-time or seasonal work). Even counting ground-based pegasi (whose occupation distribution is closer to that of unicorns & earth ponies), pegasus ponies are disproportionately emloyed by governments.
Finally, it would be negligent of me not to mention the many "from each according to their abilities" civic duties that Equestria has (Runnings of Leaves, Winters Wrapped Up, major lake-to-cloud water transfers, etc…) that don't have any equivalent in the human world.
Although the princes of most items are rarely (if ever) mentioned unless it's to show that the Flimflam Bros are ripping everypony off, the gut feeling the show's universe gives me is that most goods (bakeries, florists, Pinkie Parties, carpenters, etc…) are priced at "just price" rather than some price that responds rapidly to profit maximization calculations. Perhaps this is because the value of the money is kept steady and much of the economy is in-kind bartering rather than cash-trading. However, some classes of goods (Rarity's dresses, whatever the Flimflams are selling, griffon-owned shops, Manehattan, etc…) are priced according to what the market can afford rather than some stable fraction of the estimated daily earnings.
The last observation of Equestria's economy is that housing and real estate are not at all significant factors in most of Equestria. This may be more local to Ponyville, but Equestria has plenty of unused arable land, so prices are kept in check. Additionally, most housing stock we see in the show are either family freeholds (Apple orchard, Pie family rock farm), lifetime leases in government properties (Fluttershy's cottage, Twilight's residence in the Golden Oaks Library, Celestia in Canterlot Castle, etc…), or pegasi who can assemble semi-permanent collections of clouds to build their home (the entirety of Cloudsdale). The one way where rents and real estate make a notable mark on the economy is for commercial rents in places such as Manehattan and Canterlot (or even something as central as the Carousel Boutique—there's no way that was affordable to buy unless it was dilapidated when Rarity moved to Ponyville).
unicorns, Earth Ponies, and pegasi have always been ponies tribes in all MLP gens. If we ever see alicorns again they too will always be a kind of pony. However there have in past gens been more ponies then this, and there could easily be more pony tribes in future gens. So I have decided to list every horse like creature from myth and past gens of MLP that could become a pony tribe in order of what I feel is most likely to lastly to be a pony tribe in a future gen. Please note that all of these horses are either from myth or past gen, are all horse creatures and not any other kind of equine, and there no humanoid creatures as Hasbro have never made a humanoid creature a type of pony I don't believe they ever will. Now you know the rules enjoy the list and let me know what you think of the equines on and their odds of becoming a pony tribe.
Breezie: They were a tribe in G3 and fully believe they will become one again and should.
Sea Ponies: One of the first ponies tribes in G1 and much like the breezies I believe they should be made one again.
Bat Ponies: We have had hints of them being some kind pony in the G4 comics and many fans want them to be a canon tribe. So the door is open for them.
Crystal Ponies: Much like the bats the door is open and most fans already think they are a different tribe already so why not make them one?
Flutter Ponies: While I don't feel there a point in making them a tribe because of the breezies there is a very good chance they could be made into one again.
Twinkle Eyed Ponies: Again like the flutter ponies I don't see the point because of the crystal ponies but they do have good chance.
Kirin: From Japanese myth these equines have already made it into the G4 series and out of all the non-Hasbro made equines on the list I fully believe they have the best chance of becoming a tribe.
Kelpie: For years fans have wanted the Scot water horses to join the ranks of ponies. Out of all equines that have never been in a mlp series they have the best chance because of this.
Bicorn: These demon like horses from pop-culture do have good odds becoming canon thanks to their design being so simple.
Bayard: From European Myth (I don't which country) these horses had the power to stretch. Pinkie Pie is almost one of these already so whole tribe of her isn't out of the question.
Aethon: Flaming horses from Greek myth, there was also a flaming eagle from Greek myth with the same name. Because of that many draw them as either flaming pegasi or hippogriffs.
Changelings: MLP changelings are close to being a pony tribe and while don't think there will ever be one. It wouldn't be surprising if they were made one.
Wendigo: Much like the changelings I don't see the MLP style wendigos as ever becoming a tribe yet at the same time I can't say I would be surprise if they did become one.
Sleipnr: From Scandinavia myth the biggest reason I don't this eight-legged horse becoming a tribe is because I don't think Hasbro would want to make animated in a series.
Umbrun: Evil demon ponies from the G4 comics. I guess it is possible but I think if they are ever use again they will stay how they are.
Hippogriffs: I really don't see them making a hippogriff a type of pony, they have a better chance of becoming a type of griffon. But I guess there is a small chance of it happening.
Keshi: From Hindu belief there is two problems with this demon horse becoming a pony tribe. First it seems bad marking to take something from a major religion and turning it into just another kind of horse toy. The second is that the design is just a horse with fangs, not really bring much to the table here.
Longma: This dragon horse from Chinese Myth would be higher on the list except Hasbro have said they already have plans for it in G5. And while I don't know what those plans are they don't seem like this will be a kind of pony.
Helbeast: A three legged ghost/zombie horse from Scandinavia myth. Just look at its name, I don't believe it has a chance of becoming a pony tribe at all.
Hippocampus: From Greek myth the biggest reason I don't see them becoming a pony tribe is because we already have the sea ponies.
Colt Pixie: Yeah these are a thing from English Folklore and they are what they sound like they are. Again we have the breezies and flutter ponies so why bother with them.
Buraq: A winged horse with peacock feathers and a human head from Islamic belief. Do I even need to list the issues it would cause if they made this one into a pony tribe?
Haizum: A flaming pegasus angel from Islamic belief. Really the same problems that the buraq has.
Mares Of Diomedes: Fire breathing horses that eat people from Greek myth. Fire issue they would just look like earth ponies. the second is the name doesn't work for a pony tribe.
Magnesia Mares: Another one from Greek myth they were just mares that could talk, some versions do say they were made of rocks too. I really don't see the point of making them a tribe, but sense they are the mothers of the centaur race we could see Hasbro make some use of them.
Tianma: From Chinese myth they are more or less pegasi, sometimes without having wings. So don't really see the point of making there own different kind of pony.
Chollima: Another pegasus like horse from Chinese myth. Same issues with the tianma, what is the point.
Tulpar: From Turkic Myth we have what is little more then another pegasus. So I really don't see the point in using them for another pony tribe.

How would the Student Six react if they received a glimpse of the future and were warned of a dark future for one of them?
Scenario
Thirty years in the future, Silverstream (chosen with the literal roll of a die) has become a conqueror even worse than the Storm King ever was.
Her fleet has conquered almost every nation on the planet, resulting in either enslavement or genocide for the unfortunate populace.
The remaining nations, including Equestria, are pulling a last-ditch effort to stop her, but they are no match for Silverstream, who has command over ancient eldritch horrors that render her fleet almost unstoppable.
In the present, the Student Six see this dark future while playing with a Fortune-Telling crystal ball.
Obviously, they attempt to change the future, but everything that they try only results in minor changes.
With the future seemingly set in stone, what do they do now?
There are always things about the show I want to talk about, but I'd rather not always dedicate an entire full blown thread to it or it's never the right time to mention because no one would care. Maybe it's a thought that could be answered quickly enough to end discussion or something insignificant and stupid brewing in the back of your head for awhile! Anything you want to throw out to r/mylittlepony and say your piece!
