Will Discord remain reformed 1000 years from now?

I'm not here to argue that Discord is inherently a bad guy or anything like that, but his particular reform being predicated on his friendship with Fluttershy does raise the question that his reform may be as impermanent as she is.

I know it's a magical land of ponies and Fluttershy could be one a nigh immortal Alicorn out of the blue, or have an age reversal spell cast on her, or turn out that contact with the Elementa of Harmony stops her from aging, but we have to consider that Equestria is a world where ponies do seem to age, get sick, and sometimes die. Magical shenanigans aside, Fluttershy is not an Alicorn or even a unicorn, and despite being personal friends with many powerful examples of both as well as the incarnation of Chaos, she may not even want to live forever. So even if she were guarded from all possible external harm, we have to consider that Fluttershy may live to a ripe old age and then naturally die.

At that point what impetus does Discord have to remain reformed? Without a relationship with a mortal reliant on him suppressing his more evil impulses to remain in their good graces, what's to stop Discord from growing bored and reverting to type? Worse, we've seen that Discord must act at least a little chaotically in order to continue existing at all, so it's not like he can just move around and do nothing after Fluttershy passes.

It would be nice to think in the years leading up to this point Discord might make other friends, growing closer to the long lived dragon Spike or the equally likely long lived Princess Twilight. However, a thousand years is a long time, and people do change and drift apart. While it's likely Discord could find someone to take the place of Fluttershy, in his heart he might be resistant to this idea and lash out against it. In the end I think it's more likely that Discord will go back somewhat to how he used to be... At least for a little while until he finds a way to open up and make another friend. What do you think? How likely is it that Discord will remain reformed I. 1000 years?
