Horse passed away, I saved some of his mane/tail. What should I do with it?
Had the most wonderful, smartalek, stubborn Quarter Horse that I got when I was 11. He passed away a couple months ago and I'm now 29, so I really don't know life without him. I'm doing fine but I'd still like to have a remembrance of him.
I grew up at a horse barn and would save a lock of tail of the horses that meant the most to me. I saved a good chunk of his tail but don't know what to do with it. I don't know if if should frame it with a pic of him, braid it into a bracelet/necklace (but just raw horse hair might be itchy), etc. One thing I saw that I was curious about was gold plating a hair and somehow wrapping this around a necklace.
Has anyone done this before? Do you have any recommendations/ideas?
