Why are the CMC's Secondary Talents ignored?
Looking at the crusader's cutie marks, their primary talent is helping others re-interpret their own talents and make it work if they're having trouble. There are three crusaders so there are three similar cutie marks with a similar color scheme and pattern but the difference between all of them are the symbols on the inside. The outer-layer obviously represents the type of pony they are but within that are individual specialties. Applebloom's heart, Sweetie Bell's music note, and Scootaloo's lightning bolt. Lately however, the series has been focusing on their primary talent of stopping mid-life crises and ignoring their other interests. This was brought up in "Marks and Recreation" but it was glossed over and really deserves it's own episode because I still don't get it unless someone can simplify that part for me. In earlier seasons, there were plenty of times Sweetie Bell sang, Applebloom did her apples, and Scootaloo was extreme (I don't really count her here, she's still consistently doing stunts). It made sense because the audiece was supposed to assume they'd get their marks in that but the crusaders didn't realize it themesleves. What I'm confused about is why after getting their marks the crusaders aren't even mentioning their other primary interests at all. It's different from the other stuff they liked to do because even though the group did many things, Singing, Apples (or whatever her heart thing is), and Stunts were always consistent throughout the series. Back to "Marks and Recreation", when questioned Applebloom says she still likes making potions it's just she hasn't done it lately. A fine answer but her cutie mark doesn't have a picture of a potion on the inside, it has a heart. It makes sense for her to occasionally forget about potion making because that really was only a few times but whatever that symbol in the center of her cutie mark stands for, she isn't doing that activity and I'm confused about why that is because it is on her cutie mark and she should be actively doing it by defult. Shouldn't their secondary talents be constantly as relevant too for ponies as obsessed with the meaning behind their marks as they are? Why has the focus been solely on helping others lately and neglecting the other part of the mark?
I'm not sure if I'm explaining my point well enough. This was briefly mentioned in "Marks and Recreation" and in "On Your Marks" but I never understood the explanation. The CMC's have their main talent of helping ponies together as a team and their secondary individual talents represented in the middle of each cutie mark. Why are those secondary talents being overlooked lately in the series? The fact that it is physically on their cutie mark makes me think it's just as important, but so far, it hasn't been.
