Putting weight on a horse that doesn't keep weight on
I've always had cobs, or good doers. Horses that keep weight on without much hard feed or effort, now I've got a thoroughbred and he's the opposite. He's not dangerously skinny by any means but he does need more weight on him.
Currently he's on 2 scoops of fibre beet 2 scoops of conditioning mix One large scoop of Alfa a oil chaff
I'm going to try micronised linseed as my trainer suggested it. He can be hot headed and I don't want him on anything that's going to give him extra energy if I can help it. He generally gets feed twice a day worth hay but some days one.
Please people in the U.K. Reply preferably as the feeds you reply or reccomend with loll he able to get! Thanks for any help or info!
