My Little PingPongy
Friendship is Table Tennis
Major Characters Playstyles
Focuses on studying every aspect of ping pong, planning exactly how to counter any and every possible opponent. However, practitioners spend more time planning than they do practicing, so they often forget their clever strategies when actually playing. Applejack Style
Trains the fundamentals day in and day out. Not overly complicated, and can have difficulty against more advanced moves, but more often than not they can simply out-last their opponents. Fluttershy Style
Relies on deceptively gentle shots, the ball barely floating over the net before dropping meekly. But even as their opponents learn to stick close to the net, now and again they'll unleash a devastating smash, catching their opponent off guard and making them more confused than ever. Pinkie Style
Barely a style at all, practitioners can be identified by a lack of unifying theme. Their shots vary wildly, going from smash to curve to drop to I-don't-even-have-a-word-for-that. Almost impossible to predict and defend against, but their bizarre choice of shot can help their opponent just as often as hinder them. Rarity Style
Uses elegance and finesse to gently place shots, only to have the ball unexpectedly spin out of their opponent's reach. Never trust a shot returned by a Rarity-player, especially if it looks easy to hit. Rainbow Style
The best defense is a super fast offense. Practitioners are aggressive to a fault, relying on overwhelming their opponents through a combination of quick and strong strikes. However, most tend to frustrate and tire quickly, leaving them vulnerable in longer games. Celestia Style
They talk to you while you play. You get an early lead against them, but why are they still smiling? They compliment you, even as your uncertainty builds up. You second guess yourself. You make mistakes. They keep smiling. They clearly know something you don't. You'd better forfeit now, while you're still ahead, rather than risk finding out why they're still smiling at you.
