Why MLP is important to me
I don't have any brony friends but I wanted to say this to those who will understand my feelings.
I started liking MLP back in 2012, right after season 2 ended. I've watched it all the way up until it ended and I couldn't figure out why I was having such a hard time knowing it ended.
I realized now it's the only show I've ever watched where I waited to watch an episode every week rather than binge and leave it until the next binge.
It's the only thing about me that's been completely constant in the past 7 years of my life.
I can connect episodes to parts of my life so easily. I remember watching Apple Family reunion on the couch in the hotel before my cousin's wedding. I remember sitting at my first job on break watching Crusaders of the Lost mark. I remember listening to hush now quiet now the night before my first day of 8th grade, and now I'm a college junior. I feel like an era of my life is ending and I just didn't think it would end so quickly.
I didn't realize how much I needed to learn about friendship before I watched this show, and how I felt myself and my understanding of friendship improve as my life moved forward. I remember realizing just how much I understood twilight and her struggles and doubts with friendship and everything that went on in the episodes. And the brony community really made me feel so special. There was something I found on my own and fell in love with. Something that made me unique and quirky and weird and something that changed my life and how I viewed the world, and I'm just really upset that I have to see it end.
Magic is in my eyes something unexplanitory that can cause change with out any sort of direct physical influence. Friendship is something that caused change in my life without me having to do anything but learn and go through life. Friendship is something that alters things on its own.
