AMA: Kill Buyers (Ask Me Anything)
I'm conflicted on whether to post this, but after dealing with some sad ignorance on here regarding kill buyers I thought it might be a good way to spread awareness about what kill buyers do and don't do, and to answer some questions people might have about a world which is very insular. Please keep everything polite.
My experience: For years I dated and lived with the kid of a kill buyer (and horse trader and rodeo stock contractor). Their farm was just a couple miles up the road from where we lived. I never participated in their business, and I've never sent a horse to slaughter or sold a horse to them for any reason. But I did get a very first-hand look at their operation, practices, and the larger world of kill buyers, horse traders, auctions, feed lots, and kill pens. If anyone has any questions, feel free to Ask Me Anything.
Please Note: I won't name names, so please don't ask. I'm not trying to start a pro/anti slaughter debate. This is strictly for questions people have about kill buyers, auctions, and that world in general.
