starting out horse riding, what do i need to know?
hey! im going to be starting out horse riding (again)
i used to ride but after an incident ive had a phobia of riding and had anxiety with doing it ever since
(i got thrown off while on a canter because of a bug bite my poor horse got)
i never had a good teacher and was wondering if there were any tips i could get?
i live in NC and am looking for a good equestrian community. i want to stop being scared of riding, i still love it a lot, just i get nervous on the back of a horse if they spook or rear easily.
and i was never taught how to really "bond" of ground work and set boundaries with my horse
so, what do i do?
