Interested in Getting a Horse, looking for advice, suggestions, etc.
I live on a 25 acre property with a large barn and plenty of fields and a few miles of trails. I've always been interested in having a horse, and with two baby girls in the house, figure it might be nice to learn how to care for and ride horses so the girls can have horses when they are older. I'm having a hard time finding information for beginners on the internet. Is this something that I can get into with no experience, or do I need formal training first? Do you have any suggestions on where to find information, where to find a good horse for beginners, how to prepare property and barn, etc.? And help would be appreciated!
