I bought a horse!
Last week I asked you guys about buying a 17-year-old QH gelding. Well, his owner wanted WAY too much money for him and as much as I loved him, I just couldn't justify the price. The guy also ended up being a real d**k about how the horse was worth more because it was buckskin (as far as I'm aware color doesn't mean diddly when its a gelding).
I found a woman who is moving across the country and rehoming her 16-year-old TWH gelding. He is absolutely stunning and I feel like the luckiest woman in the entire world. I also feel like the 8-year-old girl in me is getting The Black Stallion I always wanted (minus the Arabian thing).
Thank you guys for all your help and encouragement! Without it, I would have been really reluctant to even look at a horse over the age of 12. Now I feel like I'm about to embark on an incredible journey with a new best friend.
His name is Major Extra Cash - so if anyone has any recommendations on a barn name, I'm open to ideas. My boyfriend is a huge metal/rock fan and thinks it should have something to do with Johnny Cash.
