The fandom will be fine.
I've heard a lot of talk about what's gonna happen to the fandom after the show ends, with some people saying the fandom is gonna die. After all, the fandom has been in decline for some time now.
But to be honest, I think the fandom will be fine. It's not like the fandom is gonna magically disappear after the final episode. That's not how fandoms work.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 didn't have a new episode in 18 years before it was revived, and it still had a dedicated following. Firefly lasted all of 13 episodes, and it still has a dedicated following. There'll still be plenty of fan works years after the show proper ends.
