#horses - #3 Ponies and 1 Horse escaped - all dead

3 Ponies and 1 Horse escaped - all dead

About a year ago I was helping a lady out with her horse which stood in this very high-end, very ambitious show jumping stable. I could tell many stories about the people there and the management of the site. But let me just say this: One day I was spoken to by the barn owner in a way that made me leave the site at once and never return. I'd never been spoken to in this way before. A couple of days before I had also seen some very questionable ways of treating the animals, and therefore I was already considering leaving this place. But that verbal attack made me leave for good. Flash forward to about two weeks ago: Major daily newspapers published an article about how 3 ponies and 1 horse had escaped said barn and got hit by a train and all died straight away. I felt very sorry reading this, until I came across the point in the article in which the barn owner (the lady who was the reason I left) said: "This is tragic, but shit happens" (this is a rough translation). How could anyone working with animals say something like this? I am so angry, I don't even know how to put it into words. I'm just very glad I left that place months ago, because I feel like nobody there knows what working with animals and people is really about.

I just really had to get this off my chest as it made me very mad. Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker.
