I was starting to like Discord but...
Then I watched "A Matter of Principals" and I don't think he deserves the kindness that Starlight gave him.
He feels like a crazed, abusive adult who starts tantrums when things don't go his way, then the ponies have to apologize to him so he'll stop endangering the lives of those around him.
He's had multiple chances to change, and while change takes time the creatures around him shouldn't have to suffer through his immaturity and violent behaviors while he's becoming a better creature.
I don't think it's teaching kids the right lessons. It feels like they're saying " If you have a friend that gets angry, jealous, and violent because you didn't invite them somewhere apologize and keep hanging out with them."
