Somebody seriously needs to explain pony anatomy to Hasbro
I've had enough. Since Twilight said "Flanks don't lie" recently, I'm just going to declare it.
The part of a pony's body that the cutie mark goes on is not the flank. As a horse person myself, let me show you a picture from a book I have:

The cutie mark of a pony is on its croup, not its flank. If a pony had its CM on its flank, it would look like this:

Anyway, if they don't want to be technical, they can just call it the pony's butt or its hip. If they do want to be technical, then flank is the wrong word....
