Do ponies worship? Or have some form of pseudo-religion/philosophy?
Time to hit a question somewhat out of left field, as this is something the show has not and likely will never address. I am nonetheless curious to hear your thoughts on the topic, both answering the question directly and its impact on Equestrian society in general. To be clear, this is unrelated to any discussion of real-life religions. Please don't turn this into a real-life religious debate, mmk?
So, do ponies actively believe themselves to be part of something reflecting some form of higher power or order? Well - jokes about the funeral scene back in Season 2 aside - they've certainly got some reason to. They're surrounded by fantastically powerful supernatural elements, whether the concept of Element-bearing chosen six or the way cutie marks work in the first place. Or, perhaps, would it swing the other way - surrounded by so many greater yet tangible forces, they would not regard them with any reverence?
Some possibilities:

Alicorn worship. Theorized in the fandom for a long, long time. With their apparently unaging nature, incredible power, and penchant for watching over their subjects directly Celestia and Luna are potential points of both respect and fear. We've also heard their names used as expressions before, although how common this is isn't clear. It also doesn't give any thought to what they think about it - perhaps they don't want to be revered like that?

Perhaps worship for Harmony itself as a kind of overriding force governing the world. Not just a passive "karma" that balances itself out, but a sort of semi-agency which actively directs to ensure everything turns out okay in the end. It's also easy enough to believe in context; events so often seem to turn out just right in the end despite blundering on the way there. If that is not because of the deliberate action of a pony, then what causes it?

Alternatively, perhaps Harmony is not regarded as something divine or all-powerful so much as a sort half-philosophical, half-religious path for ponies to follow to ensure Equestria and the world remains in good working order. After all, the last time they really got into each other it resulted in everyone almost dying from ice-demons...
But maybe you have other ideas. Maybe you don't think they're religious at all. Either way, hit me with it!
