#horses - #Long hours in saddle

Long hours in saddle

Hi guys!

Looking for some recommendations.

I'm a regular rider... English lessons. Paddock boots, half chaps, breeches. Standard stuff.

I'm going on a 7-day overnight riding trip... So riding anywhere from 5-8 hours a day, varied terrain, camping overnight with the horses, then again the next day. Western style, and as you can imagine, pretty limited on how much we can bring with us (25 pounds total). I bought a pair of Ariat Terrains, as I won't be able to bring both riding and hiking boots, so these can handle both.

Looking for recommendations on pants to wear with them. I'm imagining jeans would be best, but what should I look for? Ill probably get some athletic wick-away clothing as well, potentially even for under the jeans though that may get too warm so I might be limited to a single layer. Anything else that would be great to bring with me would also be great to hear! Trying to cover all my bases.

Thanks!
