Riding with a rib injury - advice?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this sub - so hello!

I'm looking for some advice related to a bruised rib. 2 weeks ago I took a fall off my trainer's green OTTB (3 y/o mare, on the track in March) - basically, I lost my stirrup going into the canter, and when I tried to get it back...she thought I was asking for race time, so I lost my balance and flew off around a corner. I instantly felt sore, but was able to get back on and do a few crossrails. I knew, being closer to 30, that I'd hurt more than I did as a teenager after this fall. However, the pain in my rib was really bad, so after 2 days, I went to a doctor and had x-rays to make sure I didn't break or crack a rib. They confirmed no breaks, but said it was probably a bruised rib. I was put on a regimen of A LOT of tylenol and advil, and written Rx lidocaine patches to put on my ribs. I have continued riding since the fall, and felt like my rib was getting better last week - not real pain, just discomfort. This week has gotten significantly worse. Granted, I did ride 3 days in a row, but between my training needs and monetarily getting the most out of my lease, I didn't feel like taking a lot of time off was an option. Now it hurts a lot to do even the littlest things (pumping hand soap, turning my steering wheel, reaching for my purse, etc.) My x-rays were clear, I don't want to risk damaging my stomach by taking so many meds, so I'm not sure what my next step should be. Any tips for rib pain management, or riding in a way that reduces impact to your rib cage? Thankfully, I'm going out of town for a few days, so i'll be forced to take a break from riding - I'm just worried that with this trajectory, it's not getting better! Picture of my and my lease horse from this week added for fun :)
