Until further notice I'm going to be stopping the weekly themes
Basically three reasons behind this decision:
- First, and most importantly, they aren't really needed right now. In the previous hiatus there was a distinct lack of new content on the sub, which isn't the case now. In many cases weekly theme submissions seem to be getting drowned out in new content. A wonderful problem to have.
- Second, only a handful of people were actually participating. While I'm rather grateful for the dedicated 5 or so regular submitters, it didn't feel like enough of a community activity.
- Third, I think we need a better format. There's been a lot of confusion and conflicting opinions about what date to do the decrees or what date to start the themes, and a lot of time people have commented that they have no idea what's going on. If I were to start them again I'd look at finding a better way to reach the sub in general.
