Broke my tailbone last week.
So I broke my tailbone last week after taking a nasty fall off my horse, and last time this happened, I wasn't in riding shape for three years.
I just bought a new horse who's a dream and I can't bear not riding her for that long. And I'm having trouble with the idea of spending 500$ a month in board for a horse I can't ride.
So I can sit comfortably in doughnut pillows, which has me thinking I could ride if I used a strong seat saver with a cutout or even a saddle with a cutout. My budget can't afford a saddle, so do any of you know of anything that could help? I've searched around the Internet and besides 3000$ custom saddles there seems to be nothing.
I have tried thick gel pads and sheepskin covers but there cannot be any contact on the tailbone. I need it suspended, so the seat saver could not be made of foam or fabric as it would smush down leaving my tailbone pressed on the saddle.
Thank you
