If MLP aired after the Super Bowl, what kind of episode would it air?
Every year, the network that airs the Super Bowl in the United States has a "lead-out" program afterwards, an episode of a tv show that is meant to keep people from just turning off their television after the game is done.
These episodes are usually bigger, flashier and meant to entice newer viewers into picking up the show.
Imagine that Discovery Family airs the Super Bowl in 2019 after executives learn that kids love watching the Super Bowl (I don't think that's actually true, but assume it is for the scenario to work) and some sort of contract dispute with CBS keeps it from airing the game that year.
With the success of the movie, it is quickly decided that MLP should air after the game, and the writers for the show have to make an hour-long episode of MLP that is flashy, exciting, not boring to (non-fan) adults, easy to follow for unfamiliar newcomers and has at least one celebrity guest star.
