One thing that I love about movie news is the fact that fans' imaginations are often stirred by whatever news comes out.

The Storm King - The Big Bad, he is an evil yeti/satyr creature with lightning powers of some kind.
Tempest Shadow - One of his minions, she is a purple unicorn with a broken horn.
Grubber - Another of the Storm King's minions, he is a goofy little gopher.
Princess Skystar & Queen Novo - A mother-daughter pair of Seaponies who rule the underwater world of Seaquestria.
Capper & Celaeno - A pair of pirates, Capper is a cat and a former criminal, while Celaeno is a bird and the ship's captain.
Songbird Seranade - A famous pop star.
Stratus Skyranger - A hippogriff guard.
