Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?

The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though). Oh and BPM is nice to have. Even if you're allergic to using emotes yourself you'll miss a lot of extra context without it.

What some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people. Don't worry there's also a topic so it ain't just "hi!" "hi" awkward silence.

Can a bad shoeing cause pain in the middle of the sole?

My farrier is on vacation so I had another one fill in. My horse hasn't been lame in 5+ years but after having him shoed yesterday he came up lame this morning. Farrier came out and used a hoof tester which showed a small area I marked below as sore. Farrier claims it's a bruise but this horse has never come up lame like this before. Our pasture doesn't have many rocks and he wasn't out on the pasture for more than a couple hours after being shoed last night. This morning he was obviously lame.

After telling him the way he was shoed previously worked fine he proceeded to bad mouth the previous farrier and proceeded to put a different and smaller shoe ("natural balance") on.

Can a bad shoe job cause pain here?

What do you consider a "green" horse? Someone I know is saying their horse is a "greenie" and I have to disagree. I know for a fact(I was there when they bought the horse) that the previous owner said the horse had been to a handful of shows and was completely rideable but hadn't been on trails. The person I know is saying the horse is "green" because the horse doesnt have many miles on her as far as trail riding and she had to "tech her horse how to ride English." To me "broke to ride" is broke to ride, English or Western.

I'm torn between two MLP themed projects to work on.

As most of you are probably aware, I'm currently working on two separate MLP projects. One of them is Everything Wrong With MLP:FiM Season 1 and I plan on going up to at least season 9 with that series. The other project I'm working on is "Edit of Insanity" which is more of a clip show styled series similar to "Robot Chicken" or "Stick Figures on Crack". I have made 2 episodes of Edit of Insanity using Medabots and I am currently working on a 3rd episode but along side that, I'm also doing the 1st EoI episode in MLP. For Edit of Insanity in general, I do want to try and make that into a community driven series by having people send in their skits and I consider an episode "finished" when I have over 7-8 minutes of skits for said episode.

The problem here is since these are my 2 major series, which one should I focus more on? Should I make the 1st episode of Edit of Inasnity (in MLP) first (Along with the 3rd in Medabots), or should I finish sinning the 1st season of MLP first?

What do you guys think I should focus more on? EWW or EoI?

I'd recommend you look at the links/previews I've left to get a better idea for each series.

Therapy Horses

Anyone else here totally 100% at peace when they're around horses. I had a rough semester that left me a little scarred but I'm fortunate enough to have a job at a local horse farm and for some reason, as soon as I step on that property, it's like nothing even matters anymore. Any stress or pain I was carrying just floats away and I'm just living in the moment. It's actually kind of weird, I don't think I'm capable of being upset when I'm grooming, tacking up, leading horses around, etc. I'm new to this whole equestrian thang, but I think I now understand why this hobby has endured for such a long time.
