Hey guys I have an interview tomorrow morning for a groom/stable hand position for a large competitive hunter/ jumper barn. I was curious if any one had any advice for the interview and opinions on dress? Im stuck between deciding if jeans or jods would be more appropriate. Thanks so much!
Went for a trail ride with my mom today. We have a few questionable neighbors who like to poach, so my mom keeps an eye out for carcasses.
Well we found one. A young buck (3 maybe 4 points), fully intact. Didn't see any blood and it looked fresh. Animals hadn't even gotten to it.
The horses were fine around it. The mare I was on nosed at it's back. I wonder if she was telling it to get up, saying good bye, or just curious. I also wonder if it's smell was familiar because we get deer in the pasture with the horses.
Just an interesting thing that happened.
I'll be honest, I don't know anything about horses. All I know is when I took high school pictures on one, it got a little "excited" and ruined the pictures. Hilarious, I know!
My girlfriend however Is all about horses. She goes to shows, quiz rallies, rides several times a month.
Her birthday and our 1 year anniversary happen to fall within March, so I'm wanting to get a good gift.
At the same time, I'm a college student so keep that in mind! Does anyone here have any good suggestions? I figured this is the best place to ask. She does not like jewelry, except earrings :)
