The End of an Era, but the Beginning of a New Chapter

As you may know, the end of the show is going to be October 12, 2019. I want to provide something a little more serious to the writers, to the producers, to the creators, to the people who made this show both on the inside as staff members but also to those out there who made it what it is by simply watching the show.

This show was supposed to end a few years ago. Some of you may know this, but Season 3 was supposed to be the LAST season of MLP, but something changed. Something made Hasbro realize the potential of the show. While it may have been marketing decisions, Hasbro saw the community that surrounded the show with love and affection, an unexpected demographic and fanbase rose to the tops. And despite the mockings and judgements from the outsiders, they stood strong, and they made this fandom and this SHOW what it is. 

While we can thank the original demographic for allowing this show to come to life, it is the bronies; the 20-30 year old male fanbase, who truly brought this show back to life through Bronycon and through their love of the fandom. It is them who brought this show back to not only 100 episodes but now over 200 episodes. 

There are so many people to appreciate in this fandom. It starts with Lauren Faust who was behind the idea of turning the toyline into a show. It continues to MA Larson who listened and understood the fandom as it was. It goes beyond to the voice actors who brought this show to life not just through Generation 4 but through Generation 3 as well.

The show would just not have been the same without the Mane 6 actors; Tara Strong, Andrea Libman, Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St Germaine, Cathy Weseluck, and Nicole Oliver (while no not all voice the Mane 6, they are what I would consider the Mane 6 of the real world). But it by no means forgets the other voice actors who also played a huge part in contributing to the show from Rebecca Shoichet as Sunset Shimmer, to Kelly Sheridan as Starlight Glimmer, to Michelle Creber Madeleine Peters and Claire Corlett as the Cutie Mark Crusaders respectively, to Kathleen Barr as Trixie, to Peter Newman as Big Mc, and beyond.

With our powers combined, the bronies and the creators and the voice actors we all were able to create something really special; 200 episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and 9 seasons. But it's more than that.

This fandom is something special. This show is something special for against all odds, against all the haters, against all the judgers, this show went from being a simple animated show to having human version movies and specials (love em or hate em) to have a CINEMATIC FEATURE FILM (and an other in the near future). Not many fanbases can say they did all that ESPECIALLY not after being cancelled for a year and being brought back by its pure dedication.

There is so much to be appreciated that no words can ever express the amount of gratitude and appreciation I and many others have for this show that is soon to come to an end.

But I say to you and promise you that even when it all ends. Even when the final episode premieres, that it will not be the end of Generation 4. There is still so much out there, and I hope that you remember to keep this fandom strong. And NOT to forget what has been made here. I know this franchise won't be forgotten especially with Generation 5 being around the corner, but I URGE you to not forget THIS. Generation 4. To not forget My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and where a majority of the fanbase truly came from. 

As an added appreciation if you've read all this. I would ask you to comment down below what you appreciate about THIS show. It could be anything, maybe there was an episode that meant a lot to you, maybe there was a character that helped you through your darkest times, maybe there was a writer that you grew to appreciate or a voice actor or ANYTHING that made you fall in love and KEEP loving this show.

As an added bonus I would like to give shoutouts to all of the Brony Creators (at least the ones I'm familiar with) and say thank YOU for being the ones to keep pushing for this show and even introducing some of us into this show that we may have judged in the past or we may not have known we would love so much:

She has 2 horses and every now and then they step on her foot by accident. One of them is quite heavy and she's having pain, barely walking for a week or two... Rinse and repeat. She's hardheaded and won't wear industrial safety shoes i offered to get (3 times now). What else is there to do?

Starlight wakes up in a cage in Tartarus one morning with no idea how she got there. Her old manestyle is back.

Tirek and Cozy Glow, in their own cages beside her, say that she's been there the whole time since she messed with the timeline.

Apparently, her time as Twilight's student and a reformed pony was all just a dream.

How will she react to this revelation?

Part II

Starlight manages to escape from Tartarus. In the real world, she learns that the School Of Friendship, Flurry Heart's birth, the destruction of the Tree Of Harmony and the Changeling reformation all still happened, just without her.

This convinces her that her time with Twilight was not merely a dream, and this situation must be some sort of spell or trick.

How would she go about trying to find the answer?

Although, if you like, you can talk about fics you don't necessarily recommend but found entertaining.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Thanks to /u/BookHorseBot (many thanks to their creator, /u/BitzLeon), you can now use the aforementioned bot to easily post the name, description, views, rating, tags, and a bunch of other information about a fic hosted on Fimfiction.net. All you need to do is include "{NAME OF STORY}" in your comment (without quotes), and the bot will look up the story and respond to your comment with the info. It makes sharing stories really convenient. You can even lookup multiple stories at once.
