#mylittlepony - #The Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread

The Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread

So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (July 6th, 2017) today, you know what that means...

It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!

Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):

  • Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.

  • Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.

  • Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!

PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget. Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!

#mylittlepony - #My Little Pony on Reddit- Meta Discussion: The Thirst Quencher!

My Little Pony on Reddit- Meta Discussion: The Thirst Quencher!

Hi there! It's Thursday again and that means another chance to talk about what's been happening around here and how you feel about it!

Same as every other time, feel free to discuss whatever it is you'd like regarding our little subreddit good or bad. If you're unhappy we'll try our best to fix whatever problem you're having!

If you want to talk about the MLP fandom in general, that's fine too!

But some people may not want to talk about comics or anything else that hasn't happened yet, so you should be nice and hide those conversations from those people by using the spoiler tag.

If you don't know how it's as easy as making an emote:

[It has ponies!](/spoiler)

Becomes: It has ponies!

And if you're not wanting to discuss the subreddit or community specifically you can also check out the weekly off-topic thread here!!!!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Oil or conditioner for a saddle?

What do you use to keep your saddles clean and in good working order? I have a few old saddles that have a bit of dry rot and I don't want them to get worse. I have a cleaner/conditioner I really like, but I'm wondering if it's important/necessary for me to also oil my saddles?

I am the Heir of Rick, probably best known as the artist behind the Daily Apple, the La Da Dee PMV, and those ridiculously gigantic pony ears. I've been in the fandom since early 2011 and talking about ponies is literally my favorite thing in the world. AMA!

Hello people! I started ponying on February 11th, 2011, juuuust when Pony was really starting to explode across the Internet. I discovered the show after stumbling upon some weird fan art, and I've been in love ever since. My art can be found on tumblr, deviantArt, and derpibooru. I'd love to have brony AMAs happen every NPT, and I'm hoping to get that ball rolling here today! Ask away!

#mylittlepony - #What mythological race or creature would you like to see in the show?

What mythological race or creature would you like to see in the show?

One of the more interesting and fun aspects of the show in the pay has been the unexpected inclusion of many magical creatures of various myths. While the show primarily sticks to Greek traditions (Sirens, Cerberus, Minotaur, Hydra) there have been creatures from the myths of other cultures as well (Manticore, Tatzelwurm, Ahuizotl).

For me it's certainly one of the best parts of the show, and when an obscure monster or creature pops up, it can instantly make even otherwise bland and aimless episodes entertaining.

So what creature from myth would you like to see in the show next?

Personally, I'd like to see the shows take on the Dullahan. I know the show has already kind of touched on it with the legend of the headless horse, but it would be interesting to me if the girls actually met them. Maybe they could be a race of chivalrous and Knightly creatures who just happen to have flames in place of heads? Or sentient suits of armor that were thought to be 'headless' because people would see them without their helmets? The most fun, of course, would be if they had to help a Dullahan find its head... but that might be a bit much for MLP.
