Quick question
What does it mean if a horse has been "ponied" but not saddled? Does that just mean that it has been ridden bareback?

Has anyone had a horse step on their jolly ball and push half of it into itself? My mare stepped on hers and I've tried to get it back to a ball with no luck. Any suggestions? I don't want to buy a new one since I just got that one a month ago.
Dream episodes for season 8!?
But we're not even done with season 7!
This is what your brain is thinking, but your brain cannot be trusted!
No, for it all too often lacks the capacity to think fourth dimensionaly!
While season 7 may be only just now coming up on its hiatus, we can kind of guess at the overall arc for the season (Family and Friends). Taking that into account, and looking back on multiple seasons, what episodes do you want to see in season 8 that you are pretty sure won't come up in season 7?
Now you don't have to be too specific. It can be something as simple as 'the return of Tirek' or 'a Diamond Tiara episode'. However, the more specific (and the more detailed) the better!

For us watching the Canadian releases, at least.
Yep, Hasbro has confirmed that Not Asking For Trouble is the mid-season finale, despite a likely much better and much more fitting mid-season finale just two episodes away. Why? I can only assume because this is the season of madness, everything is upside down, and nothing makes sense anymore. Hey, it's already that way in the real world, why not have it follow us into the land of ponies?
Let's just hope the folks at Hasbro gave Treehouse a good ol'-fashioned stern talking to and this bullshit won't follow us into 7B, eh?

It's Summer Vacation time, ladies and gentlemen! Man, I can't wait to celebrate with new episodes of my favorite TV show My Little Pony: Friendship Is...
Well folks, that's it for the Wrap Up. Good current time of day in your time zone, see you next week!
If you were an entertainment reporter and had to quickly come up with a funny headline for an article announcing that My Little Pony: The Movie won Best Animated Feature, Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, what would you come up with?
So, interesting story yesterday. I was visiting a friend of mine who has three horses, and she was busy with something unexpected when I arrived with my daughter. So we decided to walk over to the neighboring property where they are sometimes kept, to hang out with the horses for a while until she was ready to join us.
We got there and just chilled with them for at least a half hour, probably more. I was exploring their personalities and nuances, getting accustomed to how each behaves. The mare has this characteristic "don't touch me" mentality. She pins ears, pulling her head away like she can't be bothered to have physical contact. The two geldings are friendly enough, especially the brumby, who follows you around like a big puppy.
Suddenly, all three horses perked up and started staring toward the house, which is exactly 200 meters away across an open field. It got me curious if they could tell their owner was coming. Because I sure couldn't. I looked where they were looking. It was toward the setting sun, so I couldn't see much, and I'm sure they couldn't either. There was no sound at all.
Then, probably 45 seconds to a minute later, I heard the telltale whistle she gives when she comes to see the horses. All three then immediately began walking out to greet her.
This was really cool because people know their horses can sense them coming, but it's rare to actually see it in action from an outside perspective.
Here's a google aerial photo showing the layout. It's pretty amazing they could tell someone was coming so early.
We haven't had one of these in a while. Now's as good a time as any!
In the large, large world of pony art there's a lot of talented artists who don't get the attention they deserve. Some are new, or haven't been discovered, or maybe just have a more niche style that not everyone appreciates.
Who's a lesser known artist that needs more love?
TLDR: A group of friends and myself approached Aurelleah a while ago concerning a pattern of tracing without credit in his early works. Upon seeing another post of his recently I'm making this public as I have discovered that some people are supporting this practice unknowingly on his Patreon.
I saw this gif yesterday, and damn it's cute. It hit my front page, but I recognized it from elsewhere. After a bit of searching I discovered an almost identical animation by Thesassyjessie a couple of years earlier. At first I thought that maybe Aurelleah asked permission, but Thesassyjessie's DeviantArt, derpibooru, and Tumblr have been inactive for months to years. In search of appropriate credit, I found that this link from reddit brings me to Aurelleah's DeviantArt page still with no credit given. Then the deviant art page lists his patreon page. He mentions "Chandler/Azure serenity" as sponsors to the animation, but no mention of Jessie. On Aurelleah's Patreon it shows him making over $500 a month to produce art and music. How is tracing and not crediting another artist's work an ethical practice, especially in our small community.
I contacted Aurelleah a while ago concerning this issue, but his practices have not seemed to change since then. As such, I feel that it is my responsibility to make this fact known to his supporters on Patreon as they may not know the amount of originality in the works they are supporting. I'm not arguing that tracing or using samples is wrong. Personally, I did the same thing when I was starting out. However, being paid and commissioning traced work, especially without credit, is not an acceptable practice. Tracing is a tool to learn, not a means to create finished, sellable pieces of art.
All of that said, I want to stress that this is not an attack on Aurelleah, but rather intends to bring to light an issue that affects both him and, more importantly, his supporters.
