But we're not gonna let that stop us this week, so let's begin!

To start, The Top 10 Posts Of The Week.

Forever Filly: When Rarity surprises Sweetie Belle with a special day together filled with all of her favorite activities, she quickly learns that her little sister is no longer the little foal she used to be.

This Week on the Plounge (THE MOVIE Edition)
Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'Shameless Plounge Advertisement': 'This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.
Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?
The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though). Oh and BPM is considered essential for optimum Plounging. (we don't mind the occasional blank post over there)

#mylittlepony - #By Royal Decree, this week we celebrate the Mane 6!
By Royal Decree, this week we celebrate the Mane 6!
Hello once again my subjects. This week marks the last of my decrees for this Hiatus, as Season 7 starts next weekend. A bittersweet end.
This week will be slightly more complicated than usual. Each Day, we celebrate a different member of our lead cast!
- Friday the 7th: Pinkie Pie
- Saturday the 8th: Rarity
- Sunday the 9th: Fluttershy
- Monday the 10th: Applejack
- Tuesday the 11th: Rainbow Dash
- Wednesday the 12th: Twilight Sparkle
Please tag your posts with something like [Pinkie Pie Day], and as always have a safe and fun Hiatus!
This account was originally created due to complaints from people that there was a lack of good content between seasons, so I aimed to give our community something to rally behind and keep celebrating pony. You guys nailed it. Hard.
I'd like to give special thanks to /u/sc2_nightmare , /u/flaminscribblenaut , /u/torvusil , /u/voidtemplar2000 , /u/szaladon , /u/sparroew and many others for being frequent contributors. I'm just the figurehead, you guys are the actual achievers.
For those curious the list of weekly themes was: Costumes, Fluttershy, Snuggles, Socks vs Sweaters, Family, Combat, Sleep, Royal Sisters, Hearthswarming, Party, Filly, Non-Pony, Summer in January, Gala, Stallion, Alternative Ships, Future, OCs, Ponies Around the World, Adopt a Subreddit, Crossover, Madness, Supporting Cast, and now Mane 6.
Next week I'll make my final post for this Hiatus to discuss changes to the format and things you'd like to see in the future.

#mylittlepony - #The Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread
The Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread
So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (April 6th, 2017) today, you know what that means...
It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!
And we're in week 23 of the Season 6 to Season 7 hiatus.
But, Season 7 is premiering on April 15! That's only 9 days left!
Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):
-
Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.
-
Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.
-
Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!
PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget. Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!

What's your opinion of the UK's Grand National?
I just watched some of it today on ITV (UK TV) and I am not really sure why I did as I have already watched so many falls. The horses look absolutely magnificent but there's such a feeling of nervousness and unease among everybody besides the ladies in their fancy hats.
The favorite to win on Saturday is Definitely Red but I'm conflicted about whether or not I should watch?
What's your opinion? Should this 'tradition' finally be ended or is it historically worth it...?

Hi! What have I missed?
Hello!
You may remember me as the guy who did the Weekly Wrap Ups and Comic Review threads. I didn't die but long story short got pretty busy for a while with a contract and then moved for another job.
Anyway, now that things have settled down a bit I was wondering what have I missed in the last 2 months?
- Regarding the show/comics/toys/etc
- The fandom
- The subreddit
Imagine this post is full of cute poni emotes.

#mylittlepony - #Party of One backwards
Party of One backwards
I'm so happy you girls decided to throw a pre-birthday party for Gummy! It's going to be a great appetizer before the real party I'm throwing tomorrow. Actually, this party isn't for Gummy. It's for you, darling. Huh? What for? Haven't you read the cake? It says "Happy Birthday, Pinkie Pie"! *Gaaaaaaasp!* Is THAT how it is? My own friends think they can intrude on my domain, and with this sorry excuse for a birthday party of all things?? Oh, I get the message! Uh, what message? That the only way you can compete with my birthday parties is if I leave Ponyville! My friends hate me and they want me to disappear!! Well, I'm NOT leaving! But YOU can consider yourselves uninvited to ALL FUTURE PARTIES! What are you talking about? Wait! Don't go! ...Well, she took that the wrong way.
Why do you have to be so hard? Let's go back to the party!
I'm already hosting a party right here! ...You mean for the objects with party hats?
I mean for my real friends. You know what? I don't deal with crazy. I'll just go back and have some cake.
Enjoy your peasant cake! It's from Sugarcube Corner.
I'm not gonna speak to these losers ever again. And I'm not gonna invite them to another party as long as I live! Well, that's pretty rude.
After the way they treated me? I say "losers" isn't strong enough! Oh, they're not so bad.
Sure they need a couple dozen lessons in party planning, but... ...Who are they gonna learn from if not me?
Your friends said they're avoiding you 'cause they don't like your parties and they don't want to be your friends anymore. ... Oh, I see! By voiding our friendship agreement, they're saying I shouldn't feel guilty about throwing them out of town with my amazing parties. They're basically confessing that they stand no chance against my superior party skills. Aww, that's so nice of them. Wow, and I thought Twilight took things the wrong way sometimes.
Hey, Applejack! I'm back to teach you all how to hold a party! Party? What party? We're just doing some construction 'round here. Don't be silly, we were having a party there just an hour ago. No, we weren't. Y'all were helping me... bring in some construction supplies, that's it. Rainbow Dash told me she was coming back for cake! I, uh, said I was coming back for construction!
Yup, just helping with the construction here! Fine. Mind if I take a look inside the barn? Yes. I mean, uh, no. Cool, I'm coming in! Shoot!
Dash! I've got it! I don't know what you've got, but I'm going to find out!
What did you take from the party??? Where are you going with it??
Well, I'll just secretly follow you instead.
As long as we keep Pinkie from finding out about this, it will be okay.
There are your super secret cake leftovers.
I can't imagine what you want with them that requires such a convoluted transfer scheme. Don't worry, it's all part of the three-step plan.
The birthday pony didn't eat it, that means it's clearly a defective product! You will take this cake back right now, or I will seek legal action. And I'll let you know I have a contact in the royal guard... Oh, I see! There's nothing strange going on, Twilight was just being a cheapskate.
Hey girls, good news! You two are officially re-invited to Gummy's birthday party tomorrow!
Oh. Sorry, I already made plans to look after Harry's house while he's at the beach.
Sorry, I made plans to help Harry play volleyball at the beach. Huh, you sure were quick to make plans.
SPLAT Wow, that sure was a lot of trash on your mane.
Yes, parties tend to have that effect on it. Speaking of which, you are officially re-invited to Gummy's birthday—
NO, HAVE MERCY ON MY BEAUTIFUL MANE! Hey, mind if I take that trash can?
Uh, well, I... I... uh... I don't think I can make it 'cause... uh... I have to... uh... uh, you know what? I... uh... place apples! Yep, apples! 'Cause that's what we do! With the... apples. We, uh... place 'em! That's funny, the first time you said you were free that afternoon.
I thought ya meant this afternoon, not that afternoon. But this afternoon you went to my--
...but let me guess, you have to study or something.
What? No, of course I can go to Gummy's party. Umm... if you don't mind... I do have to study today, though.
I hope you don't mind, but I brought some friends.
Hoo, I'm beat. Can't wait for a good ol' party after a day of placin' apples.
You mean you actually had to place apples?
It's mah job.
I made a day-long appointment at the spa tomorrow.
I moved Harry's vacation to a later date.
So what was the point of moving the cake around?
All that matters is that it worked. If anypony wants more cake, I have a sixth of a cake that a customer returned yesterday!

Let us Take Time to Mourn...
A travesty has struck us. An action more horrible than the invasion of shoddy plastic in the war of the gods... Our amazing hard work, the time we spent our blood, tears, sweat, and emotional stability, has been denied.
The great pixel Dashie has been taken off the reddit header, in favor of a strange and unusual number ten. Why is there a ten there? Why is it presented to us? Does it want anything to do with me?
Oh so many questions we will likely never see the answer to, for we are all lost in grieving over our Dashie... Our glorious Dashie...
Please, we beg, we beg of you, mysterious ten, REVEAL YOUR PURPOSE TO US!!! Let us know that your existence is not a cruel joke on our dedicated work...
