I have plenty of snippets of posts from old threads, as well as very old art, that I've been saving recently (as you may have seen with my previous posts).
With content, threads, art, images, ect. at threat of being deleted at any moment in time, I want to be sure to archive/share as much as I can.
Now, I can't dump everything here obviously. Which is why I'll be drip feeding content here a few times a day. So I have a question:
Would you all prefer if I did more thread snippets of funny/interesting conversations, or would you all prefer old art?
If thread snippets: 2 thread posts and 1 art post a day
If art: 2 art posts and one thread snippet a day
Thank you for taking your time to read this post!
So, because it's No-Pics Thursday (February 28th, 2019) today, you know what that means...
It's time for the Weekly Fanfic Recommendation LINK-SWAP Game thread to continue!
Anyways, THE RULES (read 'em carefully):
Post a link to a fanfiction you like (can be your own as well - it's okay to self-promote), with or without a short blurb.
Important: Reply to someone else's post with a link to a fanfiction you think they might like, based on their choices.
Put each of your choices in a separate post if you want to make sure to get a recommendation based on each one. You may reply to someone else's reply, either to you or to someone else. Please make long discussion threads, they introduce a healthy bit of exploration and can help us find new interests! And that's it!
PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS 1 and 2. Don't just show up and ask for recommendations if you're not willing to provide any. I'll start the first few threads myself, and reply with a gentle reminder if you forget.
IMPORTANT NOTE. Thanks to /u/BookHorseBot (many thanks to their creator, /u/BitzLeon), you can now use the aforementioned bot to easily post the name, description, views, rating, tags, and a bunch of other information about a fic hosted on Fimfiction.net. All you need to do is include "{NAME OF STORY}" in your comment (without quotes), and the bot will look up the story and respond to your comment with the info. It makes sharing stories really convenient. You can even lookup multiple stories at once.
Ready? Set? LET"S GO! Also, feel free to self-promote in here!
Hello and again welcome to your weekly dose of 'パロウンゲ': 'This Week on the Plounge' wherein I inform you, the fine folks of the mane sub, what's been going on at your favourite sister subreddit, the Plounge, this past week.
Wait, what is this Plounge you speak of?
The Plounge, or more formally the MLP Lounge is /r/mylittlepony's sister subreddit. Designed to be a place where you can free of the tyranny of rules 3 and 4. A chill place for bronies or anyone to talk in a SFW chat centric environment. It can be found over at /r/MLPLounge. (most of us browse by /new though). Oh and BPM is nice to have. Even if you're allergic to using emotes yourself you'll miss a lot of extra context without it.
What some casual conversation with a sprinkling of ponies? Come over to this introductions thread and meet some people. Don't worry there's also a topic so it ain't just "hi!" "hi" awkward silence.

Sprankton is doing a classic Plounge thing, a Pokemon playthrough told via screenshots and captions. You can suggest nicknames for pokemans even, wow audience participation!
Local movie buff OldMan frequently posts movie reviews. They're good, he knows his stuff.

Most of us here obviously watch the English version, obviously, but I'm curious about what are some really good puns that are in foreign language dubs/subs. Preferably ones that aren't just surface-level but which are really ingenious (like the English version 'Mare in the Moon' which is an order of magnitude more clever than 'Nightmare Moon' is - the real life 'man in the moon' or 'lunar rabbit' is formed from the dark spots on the moon, which are called the lunar maria, lunar mare for short - the mare in the moon is made up of lunar mare).
Hi there! It's Thursday again and that means another chance to talk about what's been happening around here and how you feel about it!
Same as every other time, feel free to discuss whatever it is you'd like regarding our little subreddit good or bad. If you're unhappy we'll try our best to fix whatever problem you're having!
If you want to talk about the MLP fandom in general, that's fine too!
But some people may not want to talk about comics or anything else that hasn't happened yet, so you should be nice and hide those conversations from those people by using the spoiler tag.
If you don't know how it's as easy as making an emote:
[It has ponies!](/spoiler)
Becomes: It has ponies!
And if you're not wanting to discuss the subreddit or community specifically you can also check out the weekly off-topic thread here!!!!!
So for those of us who read fantasy we ALL love weapons of all different styles and shapes and sizes. However in the world of Equestria some of our weapons simply would not be usable by the hooved populace, excusing some exception.
The Guards themselves tend to be a bit useless but they would be the most trusted to actually learn how to use weaponry. Polearms I would presume, it would fit their royal patrols, but other characters I can't help but imagine would use different things.
Earth Ponies like Applejack might use more hoof based armament, ala a caestus bladed horseshoe excetera, or possibly an Ax in their powerful hooves. Though we have seen an exception to this rule with Applebloom using a Foil type weapon in a early episode. I would just assume that such weapons are incredibly tiring to use due to needing to stand bipedal in order to use them.
Unicorns of course have magic, which makes them cheaters, but through their usage of Levitation might err more towards swords then most other ponies. Whether it be a broadsword, arming sword, Zweihander, Claymore,Rapier, or longsword their levitation magic would make them supreme at using this kind of weaponry. I can imagine a lot of daggers among them too. Or Needles for Rarity's sake.
Fun fact guns were made and given to the public way before Rapiers were even made.
Ah the Pegasi and Thestrals. The fastest and more militaristic of the cultures. I imagine that they would be the most likely to use Ranged Weaponry, an Aerial Assault would be down right deadly, spears, daggers, and despite the Roman-Aesthetic of their past Military Culture would rely on fast hitting weaponry rather then ordered tactics. So Pilum, Light leather shields. short spears. Hell maybe even putting bladed sheaths on their wings.
I honestly have no idea what to think of regarding the Yak's, Griffons, Kirins,Dragons, Hippogriffs, Umbrum/Umbrum Ponies,Minotaur's, Gargoyles, and Centaurs, Alicorns, and Changelings/Changedlings though. Centaurs, Gargoyles, Minotaurs, Griffons, and Hippogriffs are especially weird considering that they have the closest things to our own hands.
I don't know these were just my own ideas. What do the rest of y'all think? What kinds of weapons would each pony tribe use in Equestria? What would each of them be more likely to specialize in? What do you think these other races and cultures would end up using?
So I realized that we will be in the middle of the Hiatus for a while and so a thought occurred to me. Some of the highlights of watching the episodes from Season 8 as they premiered was reacting and discussing the episodes with y'all in real time. We are starting Season 6 tomorrow.
So following up on yesterday's thread,is the Season 6 Episode Episode 22 "P.P.O.V (Pony Point of View)" and Episode 23 "Where the Apple Lies" . So go watch via whatever means you can and come back to discuss this early episode below.
And here is a link to the is the Season 6 Episode 21 "Every Little Thing She Does" discussion from yesterday if you want to chime in and discuss the precious episodes in case you missed the previous threads.
No really. Y'all are more then welcome to add/contribute to the previous discussions.
And sorry for such a late posting. I was kind of up until 4 o'clock this morning discussing the Mass Effect 3 endings So I kind of over did it with hitting the snooze on my alarm. I still say that Destroy is the most Ethical, Moral, and Sensible ending of the series.
This is the thread for discussing anything pertaining to Fanfiction in general. Like your ideas, thoughts, what you're reading, etc. This differs from my Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread, as that focuses primarily on recommendations. Every week these two threads will be posted at alternate times.
Although, if you like, you can talk about fics you don't necessarily recommend but found entertaining.

Looks like someone left the back door open and a couple of random losers have snuck onto the mod team. We really should check the locks on that door.
But seriously, please join me in welcoming two new additions to the /r/mylittlepony mod team.
With the final season just around the corner and a lot of the current team being far less active than they used to be, we felt we needed some additional support to look after the day to day operations of the sub.
These two have, like all other mods, shown themselves to be active and positive influences in the subreddit userbase, and we trust them to look after you.
We are also making use again of the Deputy Mod badge which the likes of myself, Linker, and Spokes once wore with pride. However, they remain full moderators with the same powers as any one of us, so show them some respect.
