#mylittlepony - #What Pokemon ‘type’ would the ponies be?

What Pokemon 'type' would the ponies be?

Inspired from a thread yesterday, if the ponies were Pokemon what would their types be and why?

(If you are unfamiliar with Pokemon the types are: Fire, Water, Grass, Ground, Rock, Fighting, Psychic, Fairy, Dark, Steel, Ice, Dragon, Bug, and Normal. There are hybrids, but they only have two typings at most.)

Applejack (Ground - Grass) - The ground typing on account of Applejack being an earth pony and the grass typing on account of her being a farm pony.

Twilight Sparkle (Psychic/ Psychic - Flying) - Twilight would start out as a pure Psychic type on account of being a unicorn and then develop the secondary flying typing upon becoming an Alicorn.

Rainbow Dash (Flying - Fighting) A Pegasus is naturally a Flying type, but Dash has always been extremely competitive, so I think she would have a Fighting subtyping.

Pinkie Pie (Fairy - Ghost/Dark) Pinkie was probably the most difficult to figure out as she is an earth pony but she doesn't act like one most of the time, and while she was raised by rock farmers she isn't a rock farmer herself. The Fairy typing has to do with her cutsie nature as a party pony, while the Ghost subtyping is tied to her almost supernatural fourth wall breaking abilities. The alternative dark subtyping is just when she's in 'Pinkamena' mode and she becomes meaner and more serious and less reality bending.

Rarity (Psychic - Fairy) A popular typing combination for a popular pony, Rarity has the Psychic typing by virtue of being a Unicorn and the Fairy subtyping by virtue of being fabulous.

Fluttershy (Normal - Flying) Fluttershy was another tricky one, with her obviously being a flying type as a Pegasus, but as such a weak flier who prefers to be on the ground with animals, I think Flying is only a subtyping for her while being Normal is her primary typing. 'Normal' here should be taken as 'natural', as it has to do with normal things that normal animals can do like bite, scratch, hug, that kind of thing.

Starlight Glimmer (Psychic - Dark) Because there is no escaping Starlight's dark past.

Trixie Lulamoon (Fire - Psychic) Like with Fluttershy, Trixie has Psychic as her subtyping since she is a relatively weak unicorn. However, she has shown great expertise with pyrotechnics both generated by magic and created the normal way and I think that qualifies her to be a Fire type.

Spike (Dragon) - For reasons, that I hope are obvious, Spike is a dragon type.

Do you agree with my list? Are there other typings you think would be more appropriate? Is there some other pony who's 'type' you think you have figured out?
