Imagine this. After you fall asleep every night in reality, you wake up the next day as your OC in Equestria. You have your own life there. The next day, you wake up back in your regular life. So basically, you would essentially live in Equestria as a double life. Every other day would be a day in Equestria while the days in between would be your life here in this reality. And no I'm not talking about dreaming. You would live an actual life while you were in Equestria.

My Little Pony kept me going even through depression.

This is a love note, a passionate one.

Recently, I took some time to watch the last 4 seasons of MLP:FiM (I had stopped after season 5), even though I enjoy some shows way more, and my time is very scarce. Why did I take the time to do this then? Gratitude.

The year was 2015, I was goind through a very tough time in my life; battling through a family breakdown, debts, delusions of love and depression. Then I found My Little Pony, this silly childrens show...Little did I know.

It honestly saved me, and I know I was not the only one. Twi, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Dash and Applejack were my best friends for some time (I don't care how pathetic that sounds) and kept me believing things would get better.

Well, now things are better. Way better. And this show had fallen on a limbo for me. Until recently, when a friend of mine asked me about my experience with depression, and then the memory gate opened, and ponies fluttered through the conversation. So I gave the show its due and watched it all the way through.

I will be forever thankful for these ponies and the Brony community. And I have no doubt that everytime I see something MLP related, I'll retribute with a smile.

Celestia never really talked about her foalhood, teen years or young adulthood with Twilight (aside from quick, extremely vague comments).

Will Twilight be different? Thousands of years from now, will Twilight talk to her faithful students about how antisocial she used to be, about her adventures, about her Ponyville friends and the other friends that she made, or will she keep herself regal and mysterious like Celestia?

This is the thread for discussing anything pertaining to Fanfiction in general. Like your ideas, thoughts, what you're reading, etc. This differs from my Fanfic Recommendation Link-Swap Thread, as that focuses primarily on recommendations. Every week these two threads will be posted at alternate times.

Although, if you like, you can talk about fics you don't necessarily recommend but found entertaining.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Thanks to /u/BookHorseBot (many thanks to their creator, /u/BitzLeon), you can now use the aforementioned bot to easily post the name, description, views, rating, tags, and a bunch of other information about a fic hosted on Fimfiction.net. All you need to do is include "{NAME OF STORY}" in your comment (without quotes), and the bot will look up the story and respond to your comment with the info. It makes sharing stories really convenient. You can even lookup multiple stories at once.

So this is the time of year we'd usually be looking forward to a new season premiere...

February is drawing to a close, and this was usually the time we'd start seeing advertisements about a new season soon to begin on the Hub/discovery family.

The first few seasons started in the fall, the later seasons would start up in March or April, usually around the Easter holiday to take advantage of the three day weekend in the states.

But, right now, there's no news about Gen. 5 or the next MLP movie, nor is there a solid date on when we can expect the first episode of 'Pony Life' to air aside form sometime in 2020. (Have they even said if those are going to be 22 minute television broadcasts or just shorts uploaded to YouTube?) Equestria Girls has been left in limbo, so the only official pony thing to try to get excited about is the comics which... yeah, they're alright, but not much of a substitute for the series we all knew and loved.

The point of this thread is that I've joked in the ost that with the season 9 finale we had entered the Eternal Hiatus, but up until this point this hiatus has only been about as long as the last five or so hiatuses. But this time there is no hype for a new season, no growing excitement for the eventual return of our favorite colorful equines. Nothing new, really, to care about at all.

How are you dealing with it? Does it feel like there should be some Pony news by this point? Have you even spared it any thought? Have you found the online shorts an amusing distraction? Or are you just wondering when the next show is going to drop?
