Have you heard the tragedy of Sunset Shimmer, the "Best Pony"?
I thought not. It's not a story Hasbro would tell you. Shimmy was a magic unicorn so cute and smart, she could use the Elements of Magic to turn into a sexy demon. She was so popular the movie had like four sequels.
The Equestria Girls series is a pathway to lore that some considered... noncanonical.
She became so powerful, the only thing she was afraid of was not being canon. Which, of course, she was. She taught her apprentice everything she knew, then her apprentice completely took over the TV show. Ironic. She could make other characters canon, but not herself.
