What if the mothers of the Mane Six were the main characters?

In an alternate universe, Nightmare Moon breaks free of her prison a few decades early for some reason.

The Elements somehow end up in the possession of six young mares: Twilight Velvet, Pear Butter, Cookie Crumbles, Cloudy Quartz, Windy Whistles and Flurry Shy.

(Since we don't know Mrs. Shy's full name, I just made one up for this scenario)

Now that we've gotten a chance to see their personalities, what do you think these six ponies would be like as the "alternate Mane Six"?

How would they differ from the "real" Mane Six?

If this was a show in an alternate reality, which characters do you think would become popular with the fans? Which character-centric episodes would viewers most look forward to?

Bonus Question: Would all of them have the same Elements as their daughters? Even if they do, do they represent their Element in the same way?

Bonus Question #2: When she was around the same age as the Mane Six, Pear Butter had a boyfriend (or maybe even was already married). How would this dynamic affect the show? Would the story of The Perfect Pear have the same impact if it was spread out over several seasons? (Let's assume that William Shatner is a regular guest voice actor)
