#horses - #Thinking about quitting taking care of three horses

Thinking about quitting taking care of three horses

So im gonna try and keep this short but after 1,5 years of not doing anything with horses i was able to get in contact with the owner of my old carehorse. I have been taking care of her for about 4,5 months now. The horse has changed and the stables were she's at now is small and has no indoor rings or pens so if it rains it sucks. The owner of my carehorse also has a mini horse which i lunge. She's a handful but i can deal with her. In dec a woman approached me and asked if i was interested in taking care of a 17 year old mare. I said sure and i wish i said no. The day i was going to meet up with her owner the owner was 50 minutes late. The horse sucks. There is no way to sugar coat it but the horse is so spooky and doesnt listen to anything. Her owner also is a bit interesting. She goes 5/6 times a week to get her feed ready but never does anything with the horse. Her daughter lunges but lunges so long that i dont bother always lunging because i feel sorry for the horse. Most of the days the horse is so hot because nothing has been done with her for 3/4 days.

So i dont really enjoy taking care of the horses except my old carehorse because i took care of her for 2 years. Now there is a leaser who rides her because the owners daughter is scared of riding. The owner has been giving my days to the leaser. So everytime i go the only thing im allowed to do are walk and muck out. Ive talked to her about it and she said she was sorry but she still keeps giving the leaser my day so that he can ride (which i dont do)

So i need advice. I love horses but atm im just done with the people who own them.
