OC Backstory/Explanation Advice needed! (Please :) )
I have a pony OC who is a pegasus but can do magic through her hooves (front two to be specific). Here's how magic works for her:
-Magic is channeled through her two front hooves only
-She can still fly
-On that note, she can either fly or use magic. Not both. Her magic energy goes to her wings or her hooves.
-For example, let's say she's flying through the air and wants to use her magic. Her magic would not conjure up. On the other hand (or hoof), if she were using magic through her hooves and wanted to fly, she would be unable to. Her wings would remain shut (relaxed, by strained) and unable to move.
She's one of two kids and is the offspring of Rainbow Dash and Soarin. My character's twin sister is a "normal" pegasus and doesn't have this magic that she (the twin) can channel trough her hooves.
My question is what's a good backstory/explanation for this to occur? I really don't want people to call out "MARY SUE!!"
