#horses - #need some encouragement

need some encouragement

hey!! last time i posted to this sub as to ask for tips for being less scared of riding after a bad fall, and you guys helped a lot, so here goes :•)

so i feel like i've improved decently since my fall (i mostly do flat/dressage now) and i've learned to be relaxed on the horse again. i usually ride between 4-5 times a week, sometimes two-ish hours a day (one without an instructor to just relax and work on small stuff). the thing is, i've been riding since i was about 10. i'm 17 now and i feel like i learn really slowly. there's other people that started 3 years ago and are almost at my level, so i wanna ask for advice.

i need advice on not getting discouraged. riding's the only hobby i've kept throughout the years but it's just frustrating progressing at such a slow pace :•( i also feel like i don't have that 'natural talent' some people have for horseback riding and man that kinda hurts because i genuinely love doing it. thanks in advance for any advice :•)
